Our Master Sergeant was in this military operation, he was one of the first squads sent in. I would ask him more but he recently took a new job in florida and now we have a new guy as our instructor.

I love how people can just forget that soldiers are also simply human. They are of the same race as us, only different by the thin veil of war. They are scarred forever, and yet, rather than comfort them, some choose to become ignorant of that and insult them. How would you like someone screaming at you for something you hadn't done? Not a lot, eh? They are soldiers, but first and foremost, they are human.

The Mogadishu Mile was insane on the Delta Force's part. Getting shot at while being ditched a mile from the safe zone.
People feel the safety and freedom we enjoy is free. War is not important anymore cause it's not something on the homefront. It's far away in some desert, not around the corner. People forget what soldiers have sacrificed for us and are still sacrificing. War is not good, it's horror. But we should pay more attention to those who go through hell so we don't have to.
As a cadance goes "Some say freedom is free. But I tend to disagree."

The proudest moment of my life was when my Great-Grandfather (WW2 veteran) was at a baseball game. It was the national anthem and while everyone was standing in silence some douche's in a private box were joking around, laughing, and completely disrespecting everything the U.S. stands for. My Grandfather jumped down into their box grabbed one of them by the shirt and said "You will stand or you will leave" afterwards everyone started clapping.

@Jacen436987 well originally the humvee wasnt made to be a combat vehicle like it is today it was suppose to be a transport vehicle to replace the old ww2 korean area willys jeep. but they found out that they could add a 50cal turret on the top and then thats how it became a combat vehicle. to this day it is still classified as a transport vehicle it is more of the soldiers choice making it a combat vehicle

i'd seen this movie, it was really intense
It's very simple ,there are millions of soldiers around the world and they are all the same in the eyes of commoners, not to mention their job involves actual danger so it isn't surprising when a soldier gets injured or dies. In contrast to that ,there is a number of celebrities all of them unique in the eyes of their fans ranging from thousands to hundreds of millions. By now you probably have figured out my point but just in case.. Another post is on its way..

@Jacen436987 yes they do but its up to the soldier if they choose to use them or not. because there humvees have such little protection what they do is take there plates and put them in the humvees to add more protection in the vehicle

na m60 is 7 62 which got replaced by 240b but na the vehicle mounted weapons were M2s 50 cal. Go Army hooah
rarely do you see a SAW 5 56 fully auto mounted somtimes you see a 240 mounted but both are usually carried now, plus neither have a butterfly trigger.
