Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ruclips.net/user/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
I love that you tell us not only how but WHERE to fish. Also side note. The slow roll stutter technique was how I picked up all the ladies at my high school dances back in the day.
Congratulations on your induction into the Bassmasters Hall of Fame. I enjoy your videos and the information you put out. I am new to Bass fishing at 66 years young and am learning a lot. I live 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean in Washington and fished Salmon, Steelhead, Sturgeon. I love to fish big fish but was introduced to Bass fishing a couple of years ago and that's the most fun I have had fishing for a long time. Thanks to your videos I have learned how to find and fish for bass. Frog fishing is my number 1 rod next is any other topwater bait. Thanks again and best of luck in your next tournament. Tight lines and happy days on the water.
Thanks as always Edwin. March better be good because I sucked in Jan & Feb, just couldn't find the bass. I'll be out Saturday trying the recommendations!
Don't Ask me why, but I could listen to this man talk all day lol I just think everything he says is hilarious even when it's completely correct And that's probably because I grew up watching him fish tournaments and he was my favorite because of the way he was when I was younger. I love this guy hes one of my favorites for sure! He is my favorite to watch fish for a fact!
Great video... and can attest to the gold and a painted colorado tandem and white/chartreuse spinner baits... so far this winter has been money on my lake. Jerkbaits have caught more fish, but the spinnerbaits have caught the larger fish... so has become my early spring confidence bait. Keep the videos coming and happy fishing!
Not even so much as a bite yet for me up here in MA. Im probably jumping the gun at the moment because its still pretty cold but I couldnt resist getting out there to try
Here at Lake Powell It is recommended that you don't eat more than two ounces of fish a month due to a high concertation of mercury and other heavy metals. This is not only in Lake Powell but all the lakes in Arizona and surrounding states. NOT GOOD!! What's in the fish where your at?

Great tips, very much appreciated! I have a question, how can we get an authorized MOLIX vendor here in central Mexico, or Mexico in general?
