If we talk about the most anticipated K-pop artist, it has to be Hwasa! Her new song is so good and amazing. Some might say it sounds like psy, but after listening, there's no way to compare! Hwasa is just Hwasa, and in this song, she fully showcases her unique style! she is amazing 💕I love it ❤️! I love it! ❤️
This song is a ton of fun - full of sass and cheekiness in both senses of the word lol. Odd comment about not seeing much new music from the MMM members. I guess it depends on how new you mean by new but during the last 12 months the members have released two full length albums, a repackage album and three EPs with title tracks, extra album singles and at least 4 non-album singles that come to mind off the top of my head. We're all sad the full group hasn't released anything since 2022 but between their solo stuff and Mamamoo+ they've given us more new music in the last couple of years than they would have as MMM. Hwasa hasn't released much music since leaving RBW and I suspect she was in a creative slump but this new song and album show she's got her mojo back. And in addition to the new records during the past year Mamamoo+ and all four members have made a bunch of festival appearances and gone on tour in Asia & the Pacific Islands or around the world in Wheein's case (I saw her in Brooklyn) and Solar spent several months appearing in her second musical theatre production. They're still one of if not the hardest working group in show biz but, as your comment shows, they seem to be even more under the radar and taken for granted than they were when the full group was active. That's not meant as a criticism, just my observation and opinion, but I thought I'd remind you of some of the things they've been up to recently. :)
The choreo was done by Kirsten from Jam Republic (from SWF2 and Hwa Sa's Chili challenge on the show), and Simeez from LaChica. PSY had nothing to do with the choreo.
You can tell this is a song written by PSY. You can easily replace Hwasa's lyrics "oooooh, ready, set, here I go" with PSY's lyrics "heyyyyyy sexy lady" from Gangnam Style and it fits perfectly.
He is part of it but it's Hwasa. No other artist could sing her song. That's Hwasas style. She isn't afraid to try new things + this is literally how pre debut/early debut Hwasa sounds. So no.
