Can't wait to see where Ruby, Big Mama, Marge, Billy's mom and who ever else is retiring are going to spend their "golden" years. I close my eyes and see them out in the pasture in the shade of a big ol' tree just enjoying the breeze. aaaahhhh

We have never met, and probably never will, but I want you to know how much watching your videos means to me while I’m going through the worst time in my life. Binge watching your older videos while I was sitting next to my Moms hospital bed helped me from losing my mind, and when ever I see a new video from you I instantly watch. I grew up around cattle farmers and knew how valuable the dogs can be. The dos were heelers not collies. But seeing Kinsey in so latest working it was awesome. I have trained my third service dog. When you work other jobs LOL on the farm, the dog training often has to deter tp those jobs. Sandi give yourself grace; you give it to others so radially Kinsey is doing the job up to what you need. Stop comparing. Kinsey is awesome.

So true! Sandy has no practical need for a Border Collie that works on the fells and mountains in the UK, more than 2 miles away, like Cammie’s dogs. Totally different sheep operations! Kinsey would be baffled by Meg’s long distance work - and Meg would be equally baffled by having the entire flock under cover and in pens!

Back in the late 80’s my mother-in -law used to raised a lot of sheep and goats. I remember she had a lot of dogs helping her. I was really amazed by watching her and the dogs. She would talk to the dogs in Navajo and they all understood. In the morning
She’ll let the sheep and goats out the corral and grazed. With a lot of the dogs surrounding the herds. They had a set schedule like grazed in the morning. Come back little before noon and rest. Late in the afternoon or when it cools down the sheep/goats grazed. The dogs really know what they are doing. A lot of times she did go along. It’s a lot of work. I say this because she ask for help and couldn’t keep up.

The new rams look great. I'm glad you got some unfilmed quality time with your dear friend. As it should be! I'd love to hear more about your 3-group rotation over time. I'm familiar with the quail way where the hens all stay with their maternal group and best couple of roos rotate one maternal group over each new breeding season. Somehow it just seems trickier with sheep, I guess that's where your scanner comes in? Were your Tunis results as disappointing overall as you hinted in the birthing videos? Do your maternal sires end up as terminal sires down the road or they need to be meatier guys? Can you talk a little bit in a future video about your selection criteria and what you liked about your new rams? Rideau are so pretty and good mamas but I'm sure there's more to it than that :)

THANK YOU, Sandy for sharing your work with us. It is a joy to watch your face light up when you see a new little one in the pen. I love that you clearly have your heart in your job. I guess I can hardly think of an animal that might be more frustrating than sheep. But after years of wrangling sheep that are constantly on the lookout for some way to get in trouble you still see the beauty in a flock of well cared for sheep and lambs. There are those that believe that people that raise animals for meat are completely heartless....thank you for demonstrating how wrong they are. And never think that what you are filming is mundane or somehow boring because you have done it hundreds of times. I watch your lambing videos over and over. Your heart warms mine and the frolicking lambs are so adorable. If you happen to read this out of the hundreds of comments, I hope it does a little bit to make you happy. YOU ARE TREASURED!

I’m finding myself watching and learning with each video. I remembered to check for the IUDS. . Love the new boys. Thank you for the update on the old gals. You and Clarissa are amazing. Thomas’s razor sharp thingies. I was wondering how you were going to replace them. Amazing you two.

Miss Sandi I've watched you for a long time. You are a very successful woman. I am your fan from Turkey. If I farm, I will take you as an example. You are a hard worker and you love your job.

Lunch break with lambs.. it's a good day.
I'm curious.. is there a white or pastel colour paint that would show better on the dark lambs/sheep than your regular colours?
Apologies if this has been asked a lot.

So excited to see new boy toys have been brought in for the ladies! 🐑 💘🐏 Can’t wait to see the matchmaking results. I hope the 3 group system is easier ❤️I love how the dogs & sheep stand around/micromanage/supervise as you do chute tasks like hoof trimming, etc. The way some of them even stand up on the chute to make sure you are doing it “right.” I love the way the rams show their “teef,” as if doing their best Elvis impression is going to get the attention of their woman. 😂
So glad you got to spend time with Belinda.❤️Love watching the working sheepdogs and Kinsey too!
Thanks as always for showing us the importance and hard, endless work that is farming! Is there anything that you & Mark can’t fix? Great video as always! 🥰

Great video Sandi, my eyesight is getting bad, I keep seeing two Sandi's, that is not a bad thing.
A lot of sorting to do before you start breeding your sheep.
Stay fit and well Sandi, you have one very good helper, we also need you on hand to do all the planning.

TIM from Ontario Canada.. to Sandy Brock. How you can work in the barn in shorts is beyond me. I know when I did this I would be plugged up for days. Bailing hay and then working in the barn. Allergies would be just going crazy. And also to. Break it down I allergic. Reaction. Too heavy and strong. Have you ever bailed hay in a snowsuit in July when it feels like 105 out.will that was me as a kid and teenager working on the farm. FARM STORYS WE ALL GOT THEM some are funny people wonder why we do this ..
