    Came here because of the cyclingnews podcast. Riis said he could have gone with LeBlanc but was in a state of shock because Indurain had cracked and wasn't thinking clearly. Shows how much better 'prepared' he was than the others. Still love that theme tune.

    ALMOST EVERYONE WAS DOPING.....
    Let's put it another way, if a rider wasn't up toward the front/at the front, they weren't "juiced".
    No "non-doped" rider had a chance in those days.

    The only way to win in 1996 was to deploy EPO, which Riis had to do.
