When Xavi came to Barca i was afraid same thing happen and it's the same situation, we are good at league but fall apart in UCl.I know its not same picture but its sth worth mentioning i think.
About Raphinia i think we made the deal because we didint know yet if Dembele gonna stay or not.
You're right in your judgement. Only that it is tougher in Europe, and he's got his ass handed to him miserably

My main fault with Xavi is playing Busquets. The rest isn’t so bad, maybe adjusting to the suicidal high line on defense
To be honest, in UCL I feel we never had the hunger that other competitors have shown. We look like we're there to just see how far we can go when it should be we are there to win no matter what. I can't help but be disappointed in the players who seem to submit to defeat before they have even given their absolute best. I will also point a finger at Xavi who is failing to motivate this team in big moments and actually presenting them with a convincing gameplan and lineup. We have done enough as fans in supporting this team; and I would argue the club, players, and coaches have not done enough to return that support.
yeah its been like that since years, maybe after Lucho
Lucho was a beast. Dude benched messi. We need that enerhy
Xavi made a mistake in keeping Gavi on after they were up 3-0 against Bilbao and he got injured. He’s essential in the press for midfield against Bayern. He waits too long to make changes, and people get unnecessarily injured.

Xavi absolutely deserves criticism. We have Club Brugge making it to the knockouts with inferior players in every position, and then there's us, not even making it out of the group after all the summer signings.
Club Brugge has Jutgla though.
Barça should've kept him.

Xavi is completely responsible despite our injuries , how on earth could Alonso be a center back in-front of pique n Garcia . Joke of no century. Allowing Dest to leave was a big mistake and moving on with Bellerin😊😢
@Krasko doubt
Why did we even get alonso and bellerin is the question when it had much better players
Xavi tactically showed his inexperience in the UCL especially in terms of team selection…that hand ball was a joke and injuries really didn’t help us by any means but I feel like we still had a strong enough team to get out the group…it’s a real shame onto the Europa 🔵🔴❤️
Simple thing is xavi doesn't learn from his past mistakes and improve on it, if he would have learnt from those mistakes, he would not have started busquets after that first leg against bayern in rest of big matches in champions league. He still got my support, but he needs to learn from his past mistakes.

@@Joshh_2001 yeah, he's one of a kind cdm, but his time is up specially in big games.

Agree 💯
while Roberto & Bellerín are bad, Dest ain't all that either, last time I checked he's not getting a lot of PT at Milan & his positional awareness was horrible while he was in Barça
Dest had time to prove his worth and while he had small glimpses of greatness, ultimately he fell flat. The same can be said about semedo that also showed his quality but failed to show consistence over time. We need players are that consist, something we have struggled to find for years now.
Dest was never good and never will be. We need Pedro Porro.
Aha wow Xavi only best options is a 30 year old average Roberto and an Injury prone Bellerín come on At least Dest has time to develop and plus can play on both sides why give up on young talent he’s slowly getting the minutes in AC Milan
Well, he quickly received a lot of praises when Barcelona started playing well after he got in charge. Now, he must accept all the blames.

When I heard that Barca will use Xavi as manage I already had a bad feeling. The problem with legends being managers is, they get way too much freedom. People don't criticize them that much because they have an emotional binding to them. Happens all the time when former well known players become coaches
Bro not me 🤣🤣😂😂. I will say it. It's Xavi trust me. Xavi did this to us. Xavi is a very Bais coach. Xavi left out Pjanic for Gavi and Busquets. Still had Gavi infront of Kessie and De Jong. Kessie in the pre-season wasn't like this. He was recommended by most like he was an already a Barca player. Xavi demoralized Kessie because he picks Gavi in and out, now do you see his performance. Brings in Bellerin and let out Dest who was a talent. Had Balde, long time Balde but kept him outside over Alonso and Alonso over Jordi Alba. Xavi has a Spanish orientation approach to this Squad and that cost him. Nonsense. Zidane with this squad will give it more.
Then u are a loyal fan, that's the sign.
His team selection is sometimes really poor and him throwing away Dest to get Bellerin makes no sense. I still have some faith because of what he was able to do last season with a worse team, but he’s got to make changes and step up.
Dest was in my opinion a good player, to bad Xavi didn't trust him
They both suck. Dest isnt a defender. Right mid at best

Yeah but I also think the time is up for several players. They are done. And it is time that the players redeem themselves and fight for this club.

I think that this season is huge for Xavi. He got what he wanted during the summer so now it’s time to put it all together and make it work. Right said Jamie. Xavi is inexperienced in the UCL and we are out largely because of that. In the UCL, you don't need to be too strong. Just win the right games and you are fine. It's hard to say it this is what Madrid keep doing. Last season, they kept winning at home. Camp nou used to be a fortress where we could correct whatever bad away results.
Xavi needs to let all players that won the 2015 UCL go save for MATS, and then rebuild.
I agree with u
Busquets and pique have been a curse in big champions league games
Busi and Pique were once pillars in the club but they are no more. Their best days are behind and they can just go away like Iniesta. We can line up with Pedri, Gavi, FDJ, Araujo, Kounde, Balde, Eric, Dembele, Lewa, Fati and challenge any team provided Xavi gets his tactics right
I love Cryuff's total football, Pep's tikitaka, but I honestly think this team needs to get used to winning even if they have to play bad football. I will give up all the possession and passes just to have won at Bayern and Inter. We love beautiful football but we love winning more. It's high time we got back to winning consistently
@@bellooyedolapo290 Koeman was rebuilding with kids and he attacked him for that, Laporta fired him and got Xavi who wants experienced players. Sold/moved out Moriba, Abde, Jutgla, Nico, Mingueza and got older, expensive players. In the winter I am sure we'll have other similar transfers, players over 25 around 50 millions.
Ronald Koeman tried to tell Barca that they couldn't play the old way anymore. The modern game values pace and physicality. He wanted to bring the 4-2-3-1 to Barca, but they railed against it. He brought the 3-5-2 to help mask our defensive issues, but they railed against it. He developed Pedri, Gavi, Nico, and Araujo, but they didn't give him enough time or money. Instead they couldn't wait to fire him, brought in Xavi and Xavi literally spent more on Ferran Torres than Koeman got to spend in three transfer windows combined. 50m+ on Torres, 60m+ on Raphinha, 50m+ on Lewandowski, 50m+ for Kounde, on top of Kessie and Christensen (Even with Araujo and Kounde were both healthy, Xavi would play one at RB). And we're still back in Europa League. I love Xavi, but it was too soon for him. Sane didn't even play, Bayern were stuck in neutral and still honestly should have won 5-0. Now it looks like the only trophy we'll have in FOUR YEARS, was from the man that President Laporta couldn't wait to fire.
God forbid that we play the modern way 🙈. It will need probably 4-5 more humiliations unil the club actually get that they need a big change.

Nothing but absolute facts....koeman hate was unreal by some stupid culers
If Xavi truly wants to bring Barca DNA then stop doing cross and hope somebody scores tactics...
We aren't even good in heading , physicality or pace...then why are we crossing every damn ball into the box just to be cleared by opponent defenders? Atleast if you are crossing then cross some good balls..it's like I'm watching my local club team playing... absolutely shameful..
Last time when Bayern defeated us we blamed it on the more number of Bayern supporters in stadium. Every season there is one or more excuses but the main reason for our failure this time is the coach and his flawed tactics. Even the tiki taka is outdated and it was developed around Messi but now with Messi gone it's time to evolve the playing style as well.
@Krasko tiki taka is passing the ball and moving into space. That is the style we have been playing. Start watching some football before you comment.

Raphina is a good player but given the attacking options we had ... His purchase was unnecessary...there should have been a decision to either commit to resigning demeble or replace Dembele with Raphina. The loaning of Dest and the signing of Bellerin and Alonso were bad decisions as well. Xavi tactics and selections were also poor ... including Busquets into any "big" game ...after the statement he made when we drew with Inter...was possibly the worst decision Xavi made ... He made a weak minded person affect the entire team.
Yes he is. He got his players and he dodges responsibility and won't hold certain players accountable. Overall he is working with what he was given and it takes time. Unpopular opinion but i feel like fernan would play well as a false 9 or Cam position. his link up- and 1-2 passes are lethal. He usually doesnt have the pace to play the wings but we should try experimenting and playing him in those positions for once.
My question is how we were flying before international break, then losing that winning mentality so easily. The injuries were a blow, sure, but still blame is on Xavi for sure but I feel like the players have to take responsibility.
Same thing happened last season. We thrashed Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabeu, we were on a great run in the Europa League and hot favourites to win it, and mathematically it was even possible for us to win the league at one point, and after the international break, it was a complete downward spiral. Lost crucial points in the league and crashed out of the Europa League.
We have always been cursed with international break syndrome. I can't remember how many times we would do amazing leading up to the break and after, complete shambles for a couple weeks. Its insane, very unlucky. Doesnt excuse xavi for his horrid tactics.
Just saying but the 1st Bayern game when we lost 2-0 was before the international break.
We were beating poor teams comfortably before the international break. La liga quality has gone downhill so much, the teams are generally terrible at defending and are giving a false idea of our level of play. I mean barca is so far ahead of everyone except real and so far behind the top teams in europe. What does that tell u about la liga? When we were "flying", yes we had brilliant moments, but also we scored a lot of goals due to our opponents terrible defending. We also made some bad mistakes that a lot of quality teams would capitalize on. Lots of work ahead
Beating poor teams in la liga is not flying.
Xavi is to blame for the lose. He's the one who picks the starting 11, and he got that absolutely wrong with the reluctant to start players like Busquets, play Alonso as a CB, move the best midfielder in the team to the wing.
The issue here is, people are just giving too many excuses when it's Xavi, but if he was another manager he'd be in the pin. There's no excuse to be in the same situation like last year with such investments.
@Krasko Of course he was not hugging the line, lmao. But he surly was away from midfield for much of the game. Just rewatch the match and you'll see, or simply look at his heat map. He was barely playing in the middle, the place Barcelona needed him in. The team lacked creativity which's obvious to the blind, and moving your best midfielder to the wing to occasionally drop to midfield and accommodate Busquets while benching Fati was obviously not the answer. What a wonderful tactic it was with 0 shots on target.
Also learn to read buddy. I said "move his best mid to the wing" which is true, or else where did he move Pedri to? space? I didn't say Pedri's a winger or Messi's a striker, lol.
My problem is that we buy or have bought players that are not proven winners. Recently Raphinha. Yes he had good seasons, but he was in Leeds. Not a proven team or ever at the top of the league. There were so many better players out there to be a back up to Dembele. We could have even kept Jutgla who can player anywhere on top. Like the bad decisions continue.
that is irrelevant lmao raphinha had the ability that’s what matters
Your logic is flawed. You can not judge a player for their past clubs. You can say the same with pedri because he came from las palmas that had nothing going for them. You sound like we can only buy big players for big money. which has never been the case example- Greziman, countinho, etc. Cause these are "proven" players, right?
@@AJ-lh4fp it wasn’t like Neymar who has been winning copa libertadores es a teenager. There was 2020 2021 he only had six goals. We knew he was inconsistent and even was not playing well right around the time we bought him.
@@redblade37 those big players we over spent. Pedri is a different case because he is a teenager and had messi to mentor him. Raphinha started off well enough but we saw how his output has completely fallen off. Even in the games where he was playing. Raphinha has been on the bench for a while. Instead of giving youth a chance to be back ups for Dembele we got someone who can only play on the right. Not only is your logic flawed to Coutinho never really fit our system because Messi occupied the spaces Coutinho. Same with griezman. So I think I should have been more specific in saying that buy proven players that will fit our system. If that is the direction we are going cuz it looks like our system needs to evolve a lot.

Agreed brother
Xavi needs to drop Busquets, use Kessie instead along Frankie, with Gavi coming in for either of them depending on the opponent's formation and if more intensity is needed. Pedri in a more advanced CAM role behind Lewandowski. Start Ansu Fati on the left wing, and Dembele on the right. Raphina can be a super sub for Dembele, and Ferran for Ansu. As for the defence, we really don't have a lot of options until Araujo is back, but Balde and Kunde should be starters. But most importantly all players need to increase their positional awareness and cover for one another in transitions to not be caught with their pants down up in the opponent's half just wanting to get hurt by a quick counter attack, which has happened time and time again.

I agree I'm actually tired of it
We are not even using the said club DNA the right way. Recently, I watched barca's documentary on the SEXTUPLE. The players explained why the system worked, they talked about pressing, fast ball movement, quick recovery, the need to intercept balls etc. They even mentioned that possession for the just the sake of possession is useless, I.e possession has to be effective for it to be useful. They also mentioned the need to play dirty when necessary, making important fouls and being more physical to stop opposition attacks.
We are not doing most of those correctly!

@@1234m-y4h my dear it isn't the style but how effective you make it be. I have seen teams try play the modern pressing style & got eliminated. Barca under xavi had tried it too & yet failed. My point is this : any style can win you games but what's key is making yr players understand yr style & ways to implement it on the pitch to get results. All these boil down to the coach. The coach first has to know convincingly the style he wants to play, effectively communicate it to his players, helping them practice it consistently on the pitch with aim of effectively implementing it to get results. That's why Guardiola/klopp etc are currently top managers. Guardiola knows his style, communicates it in details, seeks to buy only the players who he feels can effectively implement it, & of course the outcome is crystal clear.

In my opinion, Barca will not compete in Europe until they learn to adapt their play style to the modern game. They need to play at a faster pace, pass with purpose and be more physical. Enough pointless possession and using players that are slow and not physical like Eric Garcia and Busquets (as examples). Barca gets hammered anytime they come up against teams that play with the attributes that Barca desperately needs.

@Krasko well, you can’t deny the fact that top teams play physical and high pace game. The players that you mentioned sure don’t have much pace, but they do know how to play with pacey players around them in a system. When we talk pace in football, it’s about the whole team game. Of course we dont expect every single guy to be fast, but the team can definitely move the ball faster with clear direction. Just watch Man City, Arsenal, or Napoli, they are fast in their build up. Barca plays slow build up, so it’s very predictable for low block teams to deal with. Let not disregard people football knowledge my man; you are also a football fan just like any of us
@1234m my dear it isn't the style but how effective you make it be.
I stopped watching football, TalkFCB, stopped following scores completely halfway through Koeman's tenure because I was getting mentally destroyed, Xavi and his exciting project brought me back, but now I'm just hoping for a consistent La Liga showing for the rest of the season at this point, if not, it's goodbye for a while
Yes, injuries have been a big setback for us, but then also we had a player to get our team over the line. I become very emotional on seeing Barça fan staying at the stadium ever after our defeat to Bayern. As a Barça fan, it hurts a lot seeing our team suffering humiliation, but I will always be with them.
Injuries is not the reason we can’t have a shot on target with all the forwards we have
Jamie. Could u make a video on the Barca style or DNA that we talk about. Watching old Barca games again, I see that we dropped the importance of that DNA and kept the keep the ball up close to our half with no plans or much Individual effort.
We should remove demebele... And include ferran and ansu more
that so called Barca DNA will not work in modern football, we need a complete reset
@Krasko yeah in their respective leagues they win but in Europe with other power houses these teams you mentioned have not been able to lift a trophy
Raphinha was meant to replace dembele
When dembele renwed i think we hoped chelsea would sign Raphinha but he fought to join us and we probably felt sorry for him
If you signed Raphina for that reason, then you deserve to go bankrupt. Lol
Xavi, the officiating and our players. Simple as that. The lads couldn’t score for shit in the first Bayern match and we were robbed against Inter. Not to mention the damn INJURIES
I think everything lined up against us this time of the season injuries and bad calls but still we didnt step up to the challenge our players need this experience to grow
A bunch of pain built up fr. Will always love this club. Also thanks to jamie for keeping all of us sane.💙❤
Tbh when you play the same pique, alba, roberto and Busquets in crunch games you'll get the same results. It it all started with xavi thinking that finished roberto and belerin were better than 21 years old sergino dest.
I’m really frustrated but I still have a little bit of hope. Xavi’s trying to build something that has potential. Buying all these players and expecting them to just somehow work perfectly together straightaway is not possible. We will be back again.
Xavi really needs to learn from his mistakes but let’s see what the rest of the season provides. We’ve had some good plays. We will be back eventually.
finally some wise words, twitter barca will cost us a lot the way things are going, our biggest enemy has always been inside, among our own
the players have been here for months, since pre season. If the players still can't work together and if there is still no best starting lineup found, whose fault is that? That's on Xavi, he either turns it around or he should be sacked/leave at the end of season
You don't build a team by bringing old players
First Bayern game,Xavi’s decision to play the lord of marking,Marking Alonso costed us the first goal destroying all our hope and momentum.First Inter game, cross and inshaallah tactic by Xavi.Second Inter game,Pique and Eric Garcia masterclass.Second Bayern game,King Alonso in CB and Hector Bellerin playing everyone onside, still thinking he has 95 pace and can catch up so yeah,I do believe it’s Xavi’s fault
Xavi has Ansu, Raphina, and Torres available and he decided to play Pedri as a winger. He really thought Pedri would do a better job as a winger than actual wingers. What a joke
He has just been a mess. I really lack words to say.
is because it worked against Athletic Bilbao that's why he put pedri again as a winger
@@thabomashale6728 Pedri didn't do much against Bilbao, Dembele was the one who destroy Bilbao. In fact, all the goals came from the right wing except Dembele's goal.
The thing is Xavi know he can't bench FDJ but he want to play with Busquets so bad that he decided to sacrifice a winger in order to satisfy his stubborn idea!
Not going to lie, seeing this line-up reminded me of koeman and his panic strategies. Xavi needs more faith in his subs then rather tyring to make pedri do everything.
Xavi's tactics 3-4-3 was his best formation....he should always play that formation even having injured players
It's time for the fallout...
Why didn't you consider any of these things when Valverde or Koeman were in charge? Xavi got every single player he wanted and this is the best he can do?

I really hope Xavi resigns...this job is not fot him. He is not capable of choosing players who prove themselves...no matter you score 5 goals on a game=> next game you're benched because of favouritism...
Forcing Dest out without proper replacement, keeping playing Busquets, insisting getting Alonso and Kessie, failing to utilize De Jong, wasting money on Farran and Raphina but not giving them time to develop…I don’t see Xavi good as a coach at the highest level at all…I only wish Messi won’t come back next year after seeing how awesome and happy he is with PSG and Argentina😢
@Krasko Trial and experimenting don't equal to developing...
@Krasko What was your point exactly? Finding someone's comments and keep stating they are wrong?! Jamie asked what barce fans thought the problems are, and you just pointed out what my problems are? Am I barce or are you Xavi?
@Krasko walk off and reply other comments about barce then, I am down enough with this europa league in a row nonsense, no mood to deal with another one.
It’s not over.
Xavi and the team have to work hard to win Europa, La Liga, and CDR.
It’s seems, to me, the only way to make our “big” summer signings make sense.
Roberto isn't even a right-back naturally. So Bellerin, an injury prone right back who hasn't played in months is our only right back. Raphinha's signing was madness looking back. We signed Ferran for 55 MILLION EUROS and Dembele for 120 MILLION EUROS. We renewed Dembele and still went for Raphinha. Ferran is a right winger, and it's so stupid because we didn't even sell Ferran for 30 million to Arsenal in the window, meaning Xavi thought he was going to play. Raphinha, Dembele, and Ferran are too much for a right wing, especially when our defense is 50 years old and evidently incompetent. We must get rid of one right winger, and bring in a right back/right interior. I don't understand how we make such massive mistakes. Other clubs don't do this, and it is worrying. Not as bad as Bartomeu, but this is still very concerning.
all im saying if this was Ronald Koeman/Valverde, fan base would send death threats and spread hate
One thing that we would never get as fans im sure is marcos alonso Why JUST WHY DID HE BRING HIM TO THE CLUB????? For what…
The main fail for me is drawing against inter at home that was just a must win game
credit where its due, this is a brilliant video . you pretty much analysed all the points properly and gave a fair assesement .
I feel the pain for just not winning against Bayern Munich i wanted Barcelona to win this one so bad
There's enough blame to go around. I'm particular about the transfers we made. Considering our financial situation, we had to hit the nail on the head with the transfers but seems we didn't:
- Raphinha is another Griezmann 2.0 ( a player with the right attitude but whose signing was anything but strategic or necessary)
- Lewandoski ( ageing unexpectedly quickly and doesn't influence big games). For that money, signing a younger striker would have been better. With Lewy, we are now in UEL. At least a younger striker would have had a potential to improve.
- Bellerin and Alonso are a joke
I miss the good old times 😭😭😭
We have been incredible unlucky. The match defining decisions against us time after time and the injuries fkd us.
And the schedule, ridicolus
Let's be honest, any other coach other than Xavi would've gotten the sack by now.
Yeah
Only thick people think that
He's not sacked because he was signed for a project
Of course. We all know that.
@@jeanlenor1858 fake fan. When Xavi doss really well, you don't deserve to support it
Jamie, I have a suggestion for you. While doing match previews and reviews, why don't you analyse the matches a bit more tactically. I have been watching videos of #thepuristfootball and as you have already a certain fanbase, it will be much appreciated if you make videos more tactically.
They all tried their best. We love Xavi, we love all the players they are going to comeback in a very powerful way. Let's give them time they are still building up a connection. Barca will celebrate a title this season and that will be brilliant. As always Visca El Barca!🔵🔴👏👏👏👏

Awe gents, as a Barcelona fan. I knew we we're gonna loss against Bayern, but I knew inter can beat plzen. Xavi is a young, inexperienced coach but yes you can't play the same starting line up every week. Sometimes he needs to learn how to bench Busquets, get Raphinha and Ansu playing. Also Ferran. Yes the injuries caused our UCL performance but that's not a excuse. I simply don't know why did he loaned out Dest. But, we are second place in the league, in the supercopa last 4, in the Copa Del Rey pretty much realistic season.
The mistake all the coaches have made in this team, is having a hard time moving away from the players that no longer give it their all for the club. Pique, Busquets, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto.
I love the end of your speech. *As always forever* we are Barca and no going back. The love I have for this club is just way too much that I can't even comprehend. It pains me that we are passing through all of this at this time. Visca El Barca
Always a Barcelona fan till death 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
We had kounde for our home match against bayern. The only notable one missing was araujo. I don’t think replacing alonso with araujo would have made too big of a difference. Maybe we would have lost 2-0 instead of 3. Injuries did play a part but we still should have done way better
Who in the right mind choose Alonso over Grimaldo?
And Bellerin over Dest 🤦♂️
@@rlubin9356 dest was awful glad he’s gone he can’t even play a full half at AC Milan
@@matthewa2619 still 10x better than Bellerin. Also the reason why Dest has been so poor for Milan is because he doesn't want to be there he was never that bad for us. He was forced out by the club and that's still in his mind. Dest is only 21 he will only improve while this is the best Bellerin will ever give us.
Yes this loss hurt, but am going to look for hope, we are not at the level but am glad Jamie said it, now we hope Xavi will learn, cause we all know what we don't want to see anymore.
I am hoping we grow from this,
Regarding funds, we honeslty have a great youth team, now if xavi iswise, he better look in la massia and find a rb there or bring Dest for he is young too he can learn.
With the team that we have I really don't want to hear we need big Mid or wingers for the next 2 or 3 year, even defenders if remaining healthy, but to find a RB, a great RB that will play over dest maybe, but find a Pacey, who is not scared of duels, defensively aware player with great dribbling
Now another big thing that needs to dissappear: Tiki taka, its dead. It no longer works. Lets grow and move on. Lets put players who are daring.
Jamie missed adding one option in the poll though: “The setback/hole created by Messi’s departure”
You only realise importance of few things when they are gone.
Let's not forget the key to success is consistency and if we look at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich they had a consistent management over past Decade. It takes time to build a club and we were kinda a broke club. We just need time.
i gotta say, the sale of dest still does not make sense to me because the minute xavi put his trust in dest last season, dest was amazing for the games that followed then he gets injured tracking back and making a wonderful and needed tackle. then the minute he gets back he’s useless? never made sense to me and never will because someone like busi who can play multiple games poorly and consistently get picked is wild or instead of a rb you want alonso? why not just go for a solid rb who can be kind of old just so its somewhat of a consist presence in the spot?
And till this day Xavi still puzzles me for that decision 🤦♂️
It is a mix of lot of things, the financial situation of the club, the way the signings were made (by activating levers) puts alot of pressure on the players and the coach. The international break hit us hard and we lacked a bit of luck in the UCL. There are still positives, gotta keep faith in this XAVI.
finally some common sense!
Yes all the refereeing decisiins and injuries can be blamed but at the end of the day we have to control what we can that is training, team selection, coaching and the way we play
I think we are in an ERA where the coaches always get the blame for everything,
We blamed Tata Martino
We got tired of Enrique
We shun Valverde
We wanted to blame Quique
We blamed a legend Koeman
So if you start rethinking Xavi with this squad, maybe u should watch another sport
God bless you❤️
@@bodayemo you too brother
It's a big Yes from me, from his transfer decisions sending out Dest our only natural RB and Auba, if this was Koeman we would be going crazy,
We have to fair
I don't think our squad is good enough. Even the best talent that we have ( araujo, pedri, kounde etc ) are unproven. We need Lewandowski quality players in the squad. Players who are proven in the highest level of the game for a long time. We need a world class midfielder, we need overhaul in the defence new RB and one world class CB with experience.
Xavi isn’t good enough. We need a coach and mentality change.
Marcelo Bielsa
Yes, totally, even though I really like him, he is a legend, but his decisions single handedly destroyed our UCL chances this season, with his constant forcing of Busquets, with his constant forcing of Alonso, with too late substitutions when in game, like I've said previously, I don't get Xavi's UCL decisions at all, its like he deliberately always picked worst possible line-up for UCL matches, when you compare it to league games, its like two different managers led the team in these competitions.
We will rise again ! Visca Barca
No offense but no Ull not
Barca will never be back on the level of 2010 or 2015 one U can bet on it most of the fans really expect that but that would never happen
One more deluded fan
Xavi is the one to blame and these are the following reasons. When he came and he was beaten by Bayern he said to the whole world that he didn’t have quality players and this season he was given good players. The lie you guys are believing in is that our defense is very bad and in a way it’s true but that’s not the main reason why we keep losing big matches especially against Bayern. The truth you don’t want to hear is that Bayern is a team you can never and ever defend against them for a full 90 minutes, they have the highest xG in Europe and are expected to score at least 2 goals in a match even after losing their striker, and it’s all because of the chances they create. On the other hand you the opponent you are supposed to find a tactic, idea and a game plan that can make you hurt Bayern with the chances you create. Bayern is a team who doesn’t have a good defense either but their attackers and midfielders score a lot of goals to kill the game to depress you the opponent. We played Bayern both home and away and Xavi was very poor with his tactics, in the Camp Nou we didn’t play any shot target because his game plan was very poor. He needs experience and I personally think they have to sack him for him to get more experience in another club because Barcelona is not a small club for this kind of humiliation. He also complained when we lost agains Inter about referee decisions meanwhile he didn’t play anything in Milan. If you guys have forgotten let me remind you that Unai Emery used Villareal to beat Bayern Munich with tactics and a good game plan not players. Sack Xavi because if you don’t things will become worse. I said this earlier but you didn’t listen. The reason why you think he is performing well is that he is beating small teams in Laliga and you guys think he is good. He hasn’t beaten any big team since he came. Just sack him, back to back Europa. Look at the players we have and they are forcing you guys to believe they are re-building. Give this team to a good coach and you will see what he can do. Sack him bro
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I can’t stop crying after our ucl left out guys this is so painful twice in a row in fact I have missed Lionel Messi. We need him next season with R. Liva.
Thank you for yet another great video, Jamie. Have you (or anyone else) seen the tactical analysis of the Bayern game released by The Purist Football? I think it gave a brilliant insight and showed that Barcelona were doing something right tactically, even if they came up short in the end due to a lack of quality when it mattered. I know we’re all disappointed to be out of the UCL, but I don’t doubt that there are great things yet to come from this side!
(The Purist Football’s video for those interested: ruclips.net/video/yeHcD_viwYg/видео.html).
Edit: this isn’t to say Xavi shouldn’t accept some of the blame, particularly with regard to team selection as others have mentioned. Nonetheless, the potential is there, and I have no doubt that this team will continue to grow in confidence and competence!
I have been saying this for a month now. Xavi didn't have a good plan on buying these players - Bellerin, Alonso, Raphinha. He should not have loaned Dest, he knows we don't have anybody there in the RB and why did we get rid of Dani Alves! You guys were hyping him up unnecessarily.
Exactly. These mfs never understand. Although Raphinha is a good player but Xavi has demoralized him and made him worse. It is Xavi's Fault we are into the Europa League
If Laporta had half a brain and any balls he would have fired Xavi after the Bayern defeat.
I cannot understand fans who say Xavi needs time, this is a long term "project", squad is shit, we had injuries etc
Bottom line at a big club you have to deliver. Especially as a manager. If you're a player you may have a little more leeway but as a manager you need results asap.
Whether it's the quality of football or results Xavi has failed to deliver. Laporta gave him almost everything despite our finances and this stubborn fool has not delivered.
The worst thing is there are no rumours of him being sacked
Yes he is, not only his tactics are predictable but his starting selection is baffling not to mention his blatant favoritism that led him to bench amazing players like FDJ who I might add had Bayern players breathing under his neck the whole match because Nagelsmann unlike Xavi recognizes his potential, all in favor of Busquest of course idk what Xavi see in him anymore he even said he is a key player for him somehow, Alonso and Ballerin should not be in Barca.
I think its 2 combined reasons, mixed with other external factors like injuries, etc. The first is Xavi, as mentioned in other comments, he has a problem with big games. He needs to know "it's OK to 1st work as an assistant, and learn the details". He lost because he missed those details. And he was broken down with pressure. The 2nd reason is the Tiki Taka . It must either be innovated to adapt new challenges or be changed. Its a view that makes wingers and medfielders always the 1st priority while the defence has a weak identity. Other UCL beasts succeeded to break it down recently. Xavi needed to put himself in Nagelsman's shoes, and shock him in the game like he has done with Ernesto Valverde. Unfortunately, he did the same thing again!! Even worse with Kessie and Bousquets together slowing down the rythem and leaving the gate vulnerable. They are watching him (the beasts)!!
Perfectly captured
Bayern have played with an injured Neuer and sane and defeated Barca away.
So there is no excuse for injuries for top teams
For me we were knocked out weeks ago 😅 😂 bro like after witnessing anfield and the 8-2 I feel invincible from the pain and fury that comes with defeat but the DISAPPOINTMENT 🙄 that's something else
I love your channel because you’re not quick to blame others. You’re real and speak truth. Even when it hurts. 👏🏾 🫡
Anybody that confidently expected Barca to make it into the knock out stage of UCL this term has deceived himself. Though anything could have happened but I have my own reservations not because we're lacking in the players but because we are building a team for the future. Every transition is difficult and complicated. Apportioning blame is immaterial at this time. We're suppose to ask if the team is going at the right direction. To me Xavi has done a great job with the team since his appointment as Manager. We've seen a great change from the team he inherited from Koeman. We are all not happy the team bow out early in the competition but still we have Europa League to attend to and what they need now more than ever is our support to win it.
Failure is a collective responsibility and the whole team should take responsibility for the failure. We still have LaLiga, Europa League, Kings Cup and Super Cup to compete in. Keep up the good work Xavi and Co.
Kounde/Araujo has to play RB
Xavi uses them just like Stones/Akanji is used by Pep, White/Tomiyasu is used by Arteta.
When you have an more attacking LB, to balance the defence you can use a pacey RB when you don't have good RB.
Main problem is the mentality of the players. We still have the core of captains who were there for Roma, Liverpool, Bayern. They don't have the mentality anymore to be at the top
I rewatched the game. Bayern put on a defensive clinic and achieved total domination in the midfield. Pedri, Busquets, & DeJong were boys amongst men and were rendered completely ineffective by Bayern’s midfield. Kessie seemed lost throughout. Bayern were content to let Balde & Dembele push the ball up the flanks which led to nothing. While Marcos Alonso seemed to lapse again on the final corner kick/goal, he hasn’t been that bad, Yes Bellerin got scorched by Mane & A. Davis, but that happens to many defenders. Look, Xavi’s not ready for prime time coming from a farm league in Qatar. Mikel Arteta & Zidane spent years being mentored by proven coaches before getting their shot at the big time. That Xavi was directly thrown into the pressure cooker known as FC Barcelona doesn’t seem right or fair.
