- The 997 GT3 is a highpoint for the breed and when you are asked if you want to drive one the answer is always yes. Drew Crowley jumps behind the wheel to show why it is one of the gretests drivers cars on the road.
997 GT3/RS are epic and iconic. Their ever increasing values attest to it.
Keep these reviews up brother.....your presentation style, level of knowledge and obvious engagement in the review are a welcome change from many of the reviewers on RUclips excellent work!
Thanks Chris! Really glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate the encouragement!
Appreciate this review. I drove one years ago and am still hooked. I will get a GT3 one day.
Great review. I liked the terminology you used about how the car rotates in turns. I had a 996 Turbo so I'm familiar with how these cars handle.
mattnycm3 Thank you very much! That’s great to hear.
Great video. What’s with the Dublin front plate? Owner Irish?
Very nice video Sir!!!
Thanks Guido! Very glad you enjoyed it, I am a huge fan of your reviews!
911 subscribers - nice touch ;-)
Nice review man! Sadly these cars don't come down in price lol
Thank you sir glad you liked it! And yes Boxters and Caymans are more my budget.
Worth the upgrade from a 997.1 C4S? I just bought my C4S, but I want more!
Beautiful car, wish it were in my price range. Another great point of this car is it’s 8400 RPM redline.
K1dPhresh1 The car is awesome and I wish it was in my price range too! And you are right the redline makes the experience even more special. Thanks for commenting!
Hey I need some help can you tell me wat settings you have on your 997 2006 Porsche 911 trip computer limits
Great vid and review!
Jason Gorman Thanks, Glad to hear it man! Thanks for watching and commenting and there is plenty to more coming.
Nice review!
Great video sir!
B Shulman Really appreciate it! Thanks for watching and commenting, stay tuned for more!
it does have stability control....
Thanks for bringing this up maybe I wasn't clear enough in the video. The 997.1 like in the video does have traction control but that only prevents the drive wheels from spinning under power. The car doesn't have stability control which prevents the car from getting out of shape regardless of drive wheel traction. These systems are very similar and easy to confuse. Thanks again for commenting.
997.2 gt3 have stability control
no it does not have SC
Great vid!
Thank you sir! Really appreciate you watching and commenting!
It has tc and sc. And worse it's shit. The 3.8 rs has an awesome tc and sc not very intrusive. The new even better and even less intrusive. The 996 gt3 and gt2 is the last without sc or tc. The main 'problem' of the gt3 is actually the shifter, notchy and imprecise af. Drive a 991.2 or a 996 or 964 or a 993, all a LOT better, smoother and more precise. Good video still, and i actually love this 997.1 gt3, short ratios, decent headers, lwfw and tarmac spec exetc and it might just be the coolest b road muncher.
Thanks for the extra info and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I would love to drive some different generations of the GT3 for some more experience. Hopefully someday!
U nailed it 997.1 RS is super special
I have the same car in my garage. Let me know when you are ready to buy it.
B Shulman I will let you know when I win the lottery and have enough money. Enjoy your GT3!
B Shulman Same car? So it’s white?
The 997 is the best version so far of the water cooled 911's. If I could afford two I'd have a manual and a PDK since both have their good points.
I look forward to driving many other generations of the 911 but the 997 is awesome. Thanks for watching.
the 997 only came in with a manual option ! :)
Juan Olmos I’m talking about the 997 model line in general as being the best of the water cooled 911’s not just the GT3. I personally would love a Carrera 4 GTS PDK for my daily driver and a GT3 RS 4.0 for my weekend toy.
@@Illinination53 GT3 and GT2 only manual, others manual or pdk
7:07 nice Corvette :-)
TylerDurdenYNWA Yeah that worked out well! We were shooting rollers and that car just happened to be driving around. Thanks for commenting!
This is the first video that I have watched from you and I reallly like it.
997 GT3 is my dream car and of course I hope I will own one of these.
I wish you good luck for your videos. Greetings from Hungary, Europe.
TylerDurdenYNWA Thank you very much! Really encouraging to hear that. I wish you luck for the search for a GT3. It’s an awesome car. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
What’s the story behind the Irish licence plate?
The owner of the car is from Ireland originally. Looks great I think.
The FUBU of sports cars 😀
Good video. See avatar...hate to tell you that your now tainted. Only a GT car drives like that. Other 911's are more docile besides the air cooled. What is special is they all drive different. FYI wide body was only in the GTS, Turbo, C4S, and RS models. The normal if you can call it that GT3 is a narrow body.
FTLAUD 911 Thanks glad you liked it. Yeah I figured that car would spoil me forever. Thanks for the info too.
I think these cars came with PSM...
The one I drove only had traction control not PSM. The 997.2 might have had PSM but the 997.1 doesn't. Thanks for commenting.
Ryan Dunn car 😓
Cristiano Costa Irish reg?
Drastically behind the curve by today’s newer cars. You’ll own it, drive it and dump it in a year for a loss.
