I did not know bees were so uniquely complicated. This definitely is because they are so bright and ‘intelligent’ . I will NEVER look at a jar of honey the same way again. Thank you for sharing.
I like this episode about the bees. I especially like that you are a novice asking the questions because I know nothing about bees. I feel like I’m learning along with you.
Say thank you to your friend Tonya for educating us about Bees, Brooke. Really appreciate your friend's knowledge of Bees. I'm learning new stuff about Bees. I can watch this all day long..haha
@@gracierose3076 me too! I watched a documentary too in the life of Bees it was so interesting. I plant wildflowers all the time now in my little yard to try and get them come in my yard 😊 I regret catching Bees as a kid now, but my Mom would say let them go when your finished playing with them .
The bees are utterly amazing. I’ve never given them nearly the credit and gratitude they deserve. I’m so sorry bees! Thank you for working so hard 24/7 for all of us. I will include them in my prayers from now in. 🙏 And thank you, Tonya. You deserve a world of credit and recognition and thanks. ❤
AWESOME !!! Thank you for taking us along for the ride and for teaching us so much. I’m willing to bet there are so many like me who would love to be in your shoes out there loving animals and growing food and helping your community and the environment. It’s such hard work that you guys make look effortless. We know you work so hard and on top of it to share with us !! You are truly the best. I hope that this weekend was a great success for you. Best wishes and much love for the whole Cog Hill family.
And for the most part with my experience, queen cells are located in a peanut shape in like the middle lol of the frame, even to the edge by at the bottom, I usually sworms cells
God's marvelous creatures never cease to amaze me!! I'm seriously blown away by how bees instinctively know how to take care of a hive and make honey. Thank you Brooke and Tonya for a more in depth understanding of just how awesome bees are!
This is so fascinating to me!! I had no idea how this process worked and I definitely understand the term “busy as bees” now!! Thanks to you and Tonya I’ve even been reading to learn more about bees!! I sincerely thank both of you ladies for allowing us to come along while you tend to these hives and for sharing some of your vast knowledge of beekeeping. I realize you ladies are extremely busy but yet you took the time to share this with us… I can’t thank u enough. I thoroughly enjoyed this and now I’m thirsty for more 🐝 ❤ 🐝!!
For the first time in YEARS, I saw a honey bee working a clover bloom two days ago. I'm in a very small community 50 miles from a "city", in VA. It was a joyful moment!
Not many people realize how important that the bees are. That was so fun to watch, wouldn’t do it, but love watching someone else do it. That was a lot of bees!! I’m sure you will be getting a abundance of honey soon. I really need to find some honey made in my area because they say it will help with allergies. Stay safe, don’t let them get you again!!❤❤❤
To find local honey you can check out your farmers markets. If there’s no keeper selling honey ask other vendors. They probably will know of someone. And yes if it’s local it does help with allergies from local pollen. Good luck.🐝
Can’t believe I just spent an hour watching bees (I’m allergic). Just goes to show how much I enjoy you and your family’s videos. Fascinating and fun to watch. Thank you.
Hi Janice! I'm Janice too and I'm allergic too! How fun. And I've also really, really enjoyed learning so much about these amazing and necessary creatures 💖
Brooke, it made my heart happy to give you and Jason a hug yesterday at Petals. We went to Flying Peach for lunch and had pecan cobbler! Hope you all enjoy your goodies! I would love to have some Cog Hill honey someday. It is interesting to hear Tonya and learn along with you. Hope your hand is better and all the swelling is gone! Stay safe riding your new bike.
I enjoyed meeting Jason and Brooke too. What a nice day it turned out to be. I bought myself some honey from Tracy, id love to try some Cog Hill honey.
Wow Brooke!! I'm not but 17 minutes into your video but have already learned so much more about bees!! This is a really interesting video and I am so glad you decided to bring us along in your bee keeping journey!! Thank You!! 🐝✌❣
THIS REPORT DEFINITELY PROVES ALL THE GREAT ENERGIES SURROUNDING THE COGHILL FARM ! IT'S SO AMAZING, GREAT JOB EVERYONE 💜 Yes, a small plot of clovers near the woodline should help early on. Not only to keep weeds back but give a beautiful outline of property. Even if just 2 tiller widths from edge.😊
Brooke, I was just the other day explaining to my son Stephen why the world needs bees to keep the world and food production going. I am afraid of bees but I know we need them in this world. So thank you to you and your Bee Keeper Tanya for teaching me more about Bees 🐝 Love that bike, I just better start saving up some money for one though if I want to get one. ❤ I can do it, might take me awhile but if set my mind to it! 🙂😉
I want you to know Greg and I so enjoyed meeting you and Jason yesterday at Petals from the Past! Y’all are an amazing couple! Your personality is so drawing! You make others feel like they have known you for years! Greg enjoyed talking to Jason! :) Can’t wait to order the next tee!
Another amazing educational bee video. Thanks Brooke and Tonya for taking time to educate us. It’s just so interesting how this all works. Never knew that bees may not like their queen. It’s just so fascinating.
Have you guys thought of planting clover near the hives? Like Berseem Clover? I believe they bloom in winter (down South) which could help the bees? And it looks nice all year around even if it's dry out the clover stays green :)
This is an amazing and educational video, Brooke and Tonya! Now I want beehives in my backyard! It’s so cool that you can visually identify whether the cells are for queens, drones, or workers.
Good morning Brooke. I learn so much from listening to Tonya. Bees are amazing animals and her knowledge really opens up a whole new world. I love these videos. What an awesome bike. I am looking into this one as I need to get out and exercise more but have had a lot physical issues which prevent me from exercising the traditional ways.
The bees are utterly amazing. I’ve never given them nearly the respect and gratitude they deserve. I’m so sorry bees! Thank you for working so hard 24/7 for all of us. 🙏 And thank you, Tonya. You deserve a world of credit and recognition and thanks. ❤
When i was young, maybe 6 or 7 i had a uncle at the time that raised hunny bees. He would break off a piece of the comb and give a small piece to chew on.I loved it! He also claimed that his bees didn't sting and would carry them around on his hand. He could not get me to do it though. Made some fun memories with him.
I enjoyed watching Tonya and the bees. I love that you ask so many questions that she answers in plain language. Have fun on the bike. However, stay safe! Blessings from Proctor Minnesota!
You are so brave going near those bees I love my garden with the bees going from flower to flower but I'm so allergic to them I have to keep clear of them😢.
Brooke,I found the video fascinating. I love that you showed the bees,I wish that you could show more of the bees. I am intrigued by the whole life of the bees and what it takes to keep them. I am so glad you have honey,it makes me happy for you. I love all the information that was provided,it makes for a great video. I wish you more success and Tanya is so smart about the bees,Thank you to both of you for the great video.I wish you a great day, God Bless you always
BEES ARE FASCINATING!!!! They are complex and intriguing. I will never look at a bed in the same way. I think there needs to be more awareness out there. If they are not making it a part of the grade school education, it needs to be!!! I hope you are going to sell your honey on your website. I’m ready to make a purchase 😊
Booke, I thoroughly enjoy your bee keeping videos with Tanya! I live in the city, in an apartment, so it's highly unlikely that I will be applying what I learn through your videos but I find the educational information totally fascinating, and it gives me even more of an appreciation for bees and the importance of their conservation. Thank you for another, very well done, video.
This is amazing!!! My sister is raising bees and I have so much more respect for her as a bee keeper after watching Brooke learning sessions! Thank you Brooke for sharing and helping save our 🌎 planet!
This is so incredibly interesting! There is so much to bee keeping that I have been curious about but had no resource from which to learn. Thank you both for the time and effort put into teaching us about these miraculous little creatures.
WOW! Thanks for showing and explaining so thoroughly the life of your hives. I remember my Pawpaw suiting up and smoking the bees to cut out a piece of honey for table use. So exciting to see 🐝🐝🐝
Hey Brook, I saw an article recently that scientists have discovered that bee venom is being used to prevent breast cancer. It's also been used as a treatment for arthritis. p.S. jujube trees are needed. Jujubes are fantastic no matter which stage you harvest them from fresh to completely dried and they help fight prostate cancer.
I have really enjoyed this episode as much as the last one with Tanya. I really don't like honey...its far too sweet for me but I love the bees and seeing what they do.
I find the bee series fascinating. She's so knowledgeable. Your E bike is nicer than the ones Lester & Jami have. You have a nice big headlight on yours.
My dad would never have separated that hive. Not enough honey production to feed it until it develops properly. Their own produced honey is healthier than sugar water. Dad always said if having to feed sugar water to bees constantly setting them up for disease and parasites. Have to leave enough honey for them to make it through the winter AND beginning spring if you want the bees to increase the young. He always had a super for young and at least a super for honey. Never harvested unless one full honey super and another almost full. Harvested the full super. Never just a frame or two. Bees hardly ever swarm if provided enough supers and space to raise young and produce honey. And the Queen healthy. Which you could tell by laying patterns
Fantastic video! Thank you Brooke and Tanya. Very informative. Isn’t nature awesome and interesting? Love the bike. I have been wanting one for a long time, however, people that drive cars are oblivious to anyone else on the road. I know because I rode motorcycles and made sure my pipes made noise. Oblivious unconscious drivers-of all ages. Enjoy your new electric bike!
That was such an interesting video. My FIL was a bee keeper in and around Necedah Wisconsin and I knew that there was a lot of work involved but until today I didn’t understood just how much hard work there was. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Hey Brooke ❤️ I love learning about the bee's, they are awesome ❤️ I love the bike ❤️ love y'all and God bless you and your family and all the animals and feather's 💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you so very much for sharing this with us. I’ve been wanting to start a couple of hives and I think I just may give it a go. I really appreciate Tanya allowing us into her profession and teaching us all about the bees 🐝!
What a treasure trove of bee information. I love Tonya’s method. It makes sense. I have so much more respect for bees than I did before. Anything anyone can do to keep them growing and expanding would be a blessing to so many. Thank you Brooke and Jason for donating the land and sugar feeding them and thank you Tonya for keeping the bees. Bravo!
Good morning! Great video as usual Brooke. This was really interesting and informative. Nothing better than fresh honey. I remember my grandfather having hives when I was a teenager. My brother in-law is a past president of the Jackson County Beekeepers Association. You and Jason do a great job on both of your channels. Love watching y’all!!!!
Love Tanya day!! So exciting to see what the bees are doing, how they are doing & all her knowledge! Today was great & can’t wait to see that yummy honey processed! Love your bike too, it looks sturdy! Love to all the babies! ❤️🤗🙏❤️🐝🦟

I learned more from this video than the other 20 professional bee videos I watched last year.
I learned more from this video than I did when I took my elderly neighbor to her bee keeper meetings.
Say thank you to your friend Tonya for educating us about Bees, Brooke. Really appreciate your friend's knowledge of Bees. I'm learning new stuff about Bees. I can watch this all day long..haha
I sometimes watch videos just about bees. It is fun to watch them.

There is clover around those hives, in the pasture they're situated in. The main channel had video showing the clover blooming already this season.

Yay I'm glad the bees are happy! I would love to have a three wheel electric bike!🐝🍯🐝🧡💜🧡
Hopefully you will get enough honey for the farm stand.

This is so interesting … when I go to the farmers market again, I will NEVER be judgmental when I see the honey cost. ❤❤
Great to be included in your adventures!
Cool! Learning about the hives is so interesting. Stills expecting "in the kitchen with Mrs. Cog Hill" maybe at the end of the video. But guess that will come soon. Thanks Mrs. Cog Hill!
