Here are the current fact: As of March 13 in 2020, there was a total number of 674 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Japan, with 602 patients showing some symptoms. Additional to this number, 697 passengers and crews on the cruise ship Diamond Princess docked in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, were diagnosed positive with the virus. According to the source, all the passengers and crews got off the ship by March 1. Japan has a population of 124.8 million people, thus the ratio of affected people to healthy people is 0.000005%. As of March 13, the current confirmed cases in the United States is 2,170. United States has a population of 327.2 million people, thus the ratio of affected people to healthy people is 0.000006%. However the differentiating ratio comparison of the two populations is approximately 2.6. Meaning that if you want to compare the two countries, you need to multiply Japan's confirmed cases by this differentiating ratio, thus their comparable cases would be 1812.2 cases. You stated they would most likely catch the illness in the Unite States than Japan. Mathematically, you are wrong.

I would re-think this trip. It’s not worth it with the pandemic. Most cancellations are free anyway.
Jordan Constantino many of the arcades are closed in Japan now anyway. And the chances they’ll be put into quarantine when they get there are high. Kawaii Arcade Masters have a video today based in Japan. Many of the arcades are closed or closing really early due to coronavirus

I live in Tokyo and walked into 3 arcades in Shinjuku yesterday. Adores, Sega and Taito station are still open.

I believe you are making a horrendous mistake. Japanese officials have been closing the tourist attractions and many of the public arenas that have large gatherings of people. The citizens are being asked to avoid unnecessary travel and to limit their contact with people. This is one of those moments that you may end up asking yourself, "What if we had just waited until....." Often these "what if moments" can be prevented if we listened to the people around us.
I feel like they’ll get hate for traveling irresponsibly, even a few youtubers I watch canceled their trip to other countries because they didn’t want to get hate and didn’t want to bring the virus back if they caught it
At this time, what’s the whole point of going? Everything is closed or closing and you run the risk of getting stuck there when they cancel flights coming back to the U.S.

I see you’re still going! Be careful guys! I don’t know if you guys are aware, but it’s not theme parks and some famous tourist spots closing, almost all the arcades here in Japan are closed right now. Even the small arcades that I see that are usually open are all closed. All events and concerts have also been cancelled, so there won’t be any festivities. I hope you guys have other plans than just doing those, because lots of places might stay closed for a longer period of time. The situation here in Japan isn’t any getting better, and it doesn’t look like it will soon. We don’t know the actual number of cases here, because they’re under reporting, so the number of actual cases could be double or even triple what is being reported. The testing here isn’t as accessible as it is in S.Korea (which is why S.Korea has more cases than here in Japan). Let’s hope for the best though, that things will get better soon. The panic buying of supplies have eased down a bit, but it depends on what’ll happen the next few days. I suggest you guys stack up on bottles water as soon as you get here. Also bring alcohol! Lots of it!

Edit: they just closed Sydney's biggest event and cancelled Anzac Day, st Patrick's day and they are closing anything with crowds of 500+ people. Even if you go, you will be in lock down and could get stuck there. Stay safe guys.. 😥

Don’t go guys :/ my friend who’s trying to come back from Japan is detained right now and in a hotel for testing. It’s bad over there and nothing is being allowed. Be safe guys and if you do go please get tested when you get back so you don’t infect anyone here in the US.

All are flying back to the USA as fast as they can... And you´re leaving?! Oh no... Schools and Universities are closed in a lot of countries... Hospitals are full... No masks available, no toilet paper... No hygienic sprays available... No restaurants are open, all big events were cancelled... In some countries only pharmacies and supermarkets are open...

Sorry to add to the negative comments but coronavirus is scary stuff and it’s officially a pandemic. Please reconsider, at least weigh out the pros and cons to make sure you’re really making the right decision.

I watch a couple who live in Japan and vlog their time at the arcades. Tourist spots are closed and even arcades are closing.
Don't forget your refrigerator. Would be bad to come back to a nasty one. Also like bread and things like that. Safe travels and have fun
