I was late to play SFV even though I've had the game in the library for years. Only now can my PC run this game on a medium setting. Thanks for the video!
Im not an expert at this version of Street fighter but he was buffering "down to forward" constantly, he was throwing fireballs trying to bait the Luke player into throwing his fireball or to jump, since hadouken is already "down to forward" he then used a low jab with "down + forward" to not only fake him out but to hide the buffer for the super, once he heard and saw both the animation and sound of the Luke fireball he quickly buffered the second "down + forward" and let it rip. Kind of how you hide the charge with characters like Guile by throwing a jab, hitting throw or another normal. If you are trying bait a player to jump with fireballby Rry, fireball is "down to forward", hold the forward input for a little after every fireball, that way if they jump, rock the stick or controller to down then forward again and if you timed it right a DP will come out since you were already holding forward, the game reads the full "forward to down to forward + punch" or when you are crouching with Ryu you are holding "down", you can move the stick to forward, then down, back to forward really fast and press any punch button for DP, viola DP from crouching, in SSF4 (the last game i played) you could also be crouch blocking, the opponents tries to jump cross up, you could just: move the stick from down back to down forward to down back and if timed correctly Ryu would DP the opponent behind him. A lot of these players also have modded fight sticks and controllers to help with those kinds of reactions.

the first and the original. i hope Ryu would start SF6 strong, not at the end of the cycle.
I don’t play Ryu but I grew with this 💯 like how is the face of SF low to mid tier and is rarely seen in tournaments
From what the betas show ryu looks good and players say he could be A tier or higher
He very trash in Streetfighter 6 guile in ken better
my favorite ryu player besides tokido!
