Brian did feel bad for killing Rupert, he decided to make it up to Stewie by buying a teddy bear at a vintage toy shop, the teddy bear looked exactly like Rupert.
Buying a new Rupert would be very expensive probably because the bear got recalled for the eyes popping out kids choking on them and they burned most of them so Rupert would a pretty penny

Stewie is one of the most complex characters ever invented for television. A massive intellect with the instincts and weaknesses of a vulnerable lovable infant. Maybe only Brian sees him that way.
Brian always has heart for everyone, he's just self-centered that's why no one likes him, he just shows compassion if he made a mistake but deep down he's a good dog

I never cry, but this piece of art reminds me my mother’s ashes scattering and never fails to tear me up. She died at 51 after a true warrior-life and fight against cancer, and I’m absolutely proud of her. The ending scene when Rupert “comes back” also makes me weep, as I know that she, unlike Rupert, shall never come back. But she lives on as long as I live and remember her, this is our piece of eternity.
This episode shows that Family Guy is fully capable of doing powerful, emotional episodes, and not just episodes that are 20 minutes of offensive jokes.
The Red Spider I know that Brian did some terrible things towards Stewie. Like the time when Brian stole Stewie’s jokes, when he destroyed Rupert, or when he scared Stewie with a Queen album he bought from Peter. In the end Brian does the right thing and he makes it up to Stewie.
I didn’t think I could’ve teared up but (after what happens leading up to it) those last four minutes are just perfect. Buying a new Rupert, putting Stewie down for the night, Boyz ll men, Paul Walker in the sky. Actually really beautiful.
It's awesome. I'm not even a Fast and the Furious fan and I still love it. I just always remember watching the video that showed his burning car. R.I.P., Paul
Stewie telling Brian to say something about Rupert for his funeral reminds me when Brian tell Stewie to do the same thing about his mom for her funeral
At first I was expecting some joke to be thrown in at the end of this scene that would ruin it, like in the typical Family Guy style. But I'm glad they didn't. Great, emotional scene. Loved the Paul Walker tribute.
My best friend killed himself last week and I tried to forget about it by watching freeform's family guy marathon. Not a single movie or show ever made me cry, not Up, not Return of the King or Toy Story 3, but of all things a fucking family guy episode. This one really hit home for me. (3:59) Paul walker still live on in spirit. He was not only the greatest actor, but he is also the greatest racer in The Fast and the Furious movie series.
I love that Seth used this song. It means a lot to me. I sang It's so hard to say goodbye during my grandma funeral. Me and my brother did. We were chuckling as we practiced this song because we were thinking of this scene and the one American dad scene. Holy moly can Steve Smith sing! I wish I could have said something for my grandma as beautiful as Brian did for Rupert. I'm glad Stewie was able to get his friend back. When the Captain of my Lacrosse team passed away. At his viewing me and my teammate held each other by the shoulder crying as we listened to this song blaring over the PA. Thank you Seth for reminding me of the good people that were in my life.
As a person who also grew up with a stuffed animal, this episode really had me going through the motions. That Paul Walker tribute was also a nice touch. Definitely one of the standout episodes of these newer seasons.
This show is the reason why comedy and love still live in everyone that tribute to Paul n Rupert is truly amazing and it was worth the one solid tear for family.

This reminds me of when I was a kid. Buzz was my friend beside me, until one day I lost him I couldn't find him at all. I was so hurt sad I felt I lost my friend, my aunt went to the store and had gotten me a new Buzz Lightyear action figure. It wasn't the same but I remember one morning she had him sitting there in the kitchen waiting for me. She told me Buzz had to step out to get an upgrade. And I felt so happy to have him back, so seeing this the child happiness of Stewie what the bear meant to him reminds me of that simpler time.
One line that crushed me in this episode (and it's a shame I can't remember it exactly) but it was something like "Brian, let's face it, you're an old dog and you won't live forever. But Rupert was meant to last longer ..." And it hurts cause it just spells out the precious purpose of stuffed animals: things to love and hold until their thread bare
It also shows that Stewie loves Rupert because he felt that Rupert would be the only person to be best friends with him after Brian died. Just shows that Brian's relationship with Stewie is as strong as Rupert's relationship with Stewie.
well, this is literally the first time i ever cried on family guy. it shows that inside everybody of us is a little child who needs to be protected. Even with his brilliant mind Stewie is just a baby who even seems to forget that a dead “person” can’t just be reanimated like that. Brian did well on “giving him Rupert back”. I really liked this episode and felt so happy for Stewie when he hugged Rupert in his bed. Beautiful ❤️
It's nice to see they can still make these really good ones when they really try. Most newer episodes really are terrible, sorry to say but it's true.
