If I gave this remix a name it would be “Are you heading to the Station Square?” This sounds like an into to a scene that overviews the skyline and through the City in a quick zoom shot past civilians and catch a glimpse of Sonic speeding towards the city the scene goes like this Knuckles: “Where do you think sonic is these days, I haven’t heard a thing from em” Tails: “I heard he was heading to Station Square several miles from here for the week so i decided to prepare a workshop nearby, I have a surprise I’ve been preparing to show him, but never got the chance to. I might drop by I have a feeling he might sun bathing by the beach.
This is a fantastic rendition of the classic Station Square song. Making a rock cover of an iconic song can be hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. Stand outs to me are the percussion - the drums are punchy and definitely get my feet tapping. The guitar at 0:45 also has a great flow. I love you hold a chord as the chorus comes back, creating a nice transition. Another one for the Bandcamp collection. Thanks for your rockin' tunes!
Been listening to this so much recently ever since finding it, and I'm absolutely LOVING what you made here! You really nailed that Sonic Adventure 1 and Crush 40 feel to me. It has the awesome rock type music you'd expect but also has the more calm and magical moments, especially at 1:53, which really reminded me of others songs from SA1 like At Dawn. That's at least the best way I can put it, cause I'm not particularly great at explaining music LOL. Seriously though, this is some amazing stuff! Definitely my favorite remix of Station Square I've heard, which is saying something!
