My friend introduced me to this wonderful band many years ago It was our favorite band, and we've been waiting for this album for so long, sadly he passed away last year and will not have the chance to listen to them This is for you brother❤️
You don't know me, nor do i know you, but if Anathema is your favorite band, you and i can be friends. In the same way, this one is for your friend in the Eternity.
wonderful moments like this from brothers in music i don't even know really make me want to believe in some kind of religion. I'm sure he would be incredibly proud and humbled that you immortalised is memory under this masterpiece
I just found this wonderful group of musicians yesterday. I found this today and was moved by your words. I know what it means to not be able to share such beautiful and powerful music with those who are gone.
Ok, yeah... I get it. Quality background music for your inward-looking, yet determined march thru the center of town There's a truck behind you, you know
Exactly! This is what's been the most beautiful memory for me from younger years - listening to something calming and relaxing, thinking about stuff, then explosion of emotions and everything - I love it!
Forgotten by my family Despised by my ex-wife far from my children overwhelming pressure of an unhappy life this music are the tool I'll needed to put an end to it all... god, why it is so difficult? I only wish to see they happy.. does not matter, thanks Anathema, for open my eyes and make this song. This song will be the trail to the end of my pain.
I first heared about anathema in 2002 when a local metal radio sender called "Zosh " played "They Die" From the Crestfallen EP which was allready 10 years old back then. i was quite surprised when i realised in 2002 that every album was completely different. Dying Wish is allready so different from the stuff they did on Crestfallen. tbh i think every album is good. But i really loved anathema the most on Alternative4 and Judgement. I still think they make quite some good music nowadays but for my personal taste it has gone progressive "pop " a bit too much
'Springfield' is a really really beautiful song. Great that Anathema are back with such great music once more! 'Springfield' reminds songs from albums like 'Weather Systems', 'We're Here Because We're Here' or 'A Natural Disaster'. At 2:35 explosion! What a melody...fuck yes. Feel like floating free at the edge of the Universe...
This brilliant piece of music really illustrates what Vincent just said about working with producer Tony Doogan : “he suggested that we record as a live band, which we hadn’t done for years. Having played a few tunes on the last tour, we were ready for that. Tony wanted to capture that energy you can only get with everyone facing each other… it makes a big difference." :)))

Absolutely amazing. Anathema never disappoints. I've been a fan since "The Silent Enigma". You can say I was growing up along with them, as their music progressed into today's sound.
My parents - they were lucky to live in the Pink Floyd times and being excited with their music. Well... I can proudly say - I have privilege to live these days and experienced unforgettable musical landscapes of Anathema... Guys thank You so much for all emotions which Your music bringing to my heart...
Kamil, ja jestem z tego pokolenia ktore slucha Pink Floyd i Depeche Mode,Porcupine tree i Anathema.Wszystkich kocham tak samo, bo sprawiaja ze czuje ze zyje.
This shit rocked me hard….love the intro. As a drummer pianist bassist ,the subtle progression to her voice sublime. How did we get here….indeed. -I don’t belong here
Following them from way back in the days, the music changed a lot but the melancholy and the sadness in the songs stay, I love it and looking forward to their gig on graspop metal meeting
I was listening 🌱 with my girlfriend while walking in streets get losing under rain.i bought headphone for her .speciality for this song..it was wonderful moments
Yesss ! I'm addicted too ! ^^ But.., about Kscope and its "post-progressive sounds", in my inner circle I note that it's quite difficult to find people as thrilled about it as I am... :'-(
I think part of that problem is people's experience with prog, they seem to think it dictates a very strict moment in time in the 70s and that all prog is going to sound like Yes, Genesis etc, when the true definition of prog suggests that you should always be moving music forward to keep with the times.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the camera switch to behind the drummer. The drummer is such an key but underrated piece to post-rock/metal to make the songs sound full, preferably using the crash as a ride!
Rafael Henrique feel the same.. a new episode in life... when I discover any new Anathema album I feel like somehing important is happening... and in a few years listening to this album will be like a time machine..
exactly like on each of their albums, they just mark a moment in your lifetime in a way you can't let go of them. I don´t believe in music as just a sum of chords and I think the mastery of the band is to go for the highest level of feelings and atmospheres to create such worlds! It's the best way to leave this one we live in, for sure
This song is like meeting a loved one you don't see for months, years. You meet, build the feeling again, the passion grows and boils until an erotic explosion, then you mourn and dread the foreseen farewell. I'm in such condition, my fiancé lives far away from me and I can see him only a few days each two or three months. I miss him so much and this feeling is powered up by this song.
It is happening again! You don´t know exactly why but, the song starts and little by little you are shrouded in an emotional atmosphere. Everything counts, from the delicate snare drum to the beautiful voice of Lee. Thanks so much!

I´m gonna miss Anathema so much! At least we have the old songs to comfort us! Hope they come back!!
They are definitely going to be missed. Let's hope they come back someday.
I hope
They drive you right into the deepest of your own thoughts, no arrogance, no force, just drifting till you get there a truly amazing band.

I could listen to this one song on an endless loop. Beautiful.
As a drummer, I am pleased to hear this album has the best drum sounds so far on an Anathema record; big and boomy. The song in itself sounds amazing too, can't wait for the rest of the record. Much love from Finland.
Agree with that, now if they just hire Gavin Harrison all will be perfect.
Gavin would not make this song any better. Haven't heard an anathema song before this one, but the drummer was great.
Gavin Harrison can make any song better
cmon, John Douglas is one of the best. I love his work since decates
Peter Schwarz I'm not talking about his drumming, but the recording and mixing of the drums, the overall sound.
There is a very, very epic post-rock feel to this, and I love it.
They're not repeating themselves.. Anathema have been a constant evolution right from the start.

I wish I knew about this band earlier. Every song I've heard from this album is gold. Fantastic mash of shoegaze and gothic metal. WOW!
Well, their goth metal days were 25-30 years ago. This style is referred to as post-prog.
Draconian's newest album has a gothic doomgaze vibe, though.
So many Anathema tracks that no matter which version I listen to live or studio, full on or unplugged has the same emotional effect on me. It's like they tap into my psyche.
