One thing that tells you a lot about Painter is that he talks about the players who didn’t play in his post-game press conferences, about how much they sacrificed and how much a.part of the program they are.
I'm 56 years old I have been a boiler since I first laid my eyes on that dark arena watching Eugene parker,Bruce parkinson,Walter Jordan ,Wayne walls,Tom scheffler,and Fred schaus as the Head coach it's been a long time so many missed opportunities and heartbreak to finally get back to the final four since 1980 ( which my dad took me to the final four practice to see always remember that) im just so happy for all the past,present players and alumni!! 2 more to go boiler up🏀🏀🏀🏀

I agree with you that this team is on a mission and that you can see it. We are all hungry, as you say. To win that game when so much didn’t go their way is huge. Stopping the turnovers before they killed the win was great. They just kept playing hard all the way. Great season. Now go get the big one!

The homage to Larry Clisby hit home. I listened to him through so many tournament games with the TV muted going back to the Troy Lewis days. Btw, it turns out that the albatross is actually considered lucky. In the late-eighteenth-century literary work, a sailor recalls shooting a harmless albatross. The seabirds are considered lucky in maritime folklore, so the act triggers misfortune for the whole crew. As punishment, the sailor is forced to wear the animal’s carcass around his neck.

I would also pay deep homage & remembrance to my old friend Gary Allen Kline, who supported Cliz &?the broadcasting crew for well over 30yrs. Great work to all, now let’s go finish it!
I think it's like if the tournament were drawn on a chalkboard like it would have been in the old days and you just have to draw a straight line for the correct seeds without a bunch of erasing? No idea, but that's my guess. I'm here for the real answer though 😊
I believe Matt Painter exorcised all the demons he had with Purdue. Anything above this is icing on the cake. They did not under achieve in this tournament and they made the final 4. I hope they do well but no matter what happens over the next week this team is the best Purdue team I have ever seen. To win this game when their outside shooters were way off, against a very good team, says a ton.
