You know on WGE i posted today about how i was trying and failing to change a watch battery and leather strap. I even posted about how i had these tools that i had no idea on how to use, now today you posted this. coincidence? i think so, grateful none the less.
I have the 2 pin tool and modified it as well to fit my pro diver, but the back seems to be on too tight and the tool keeps slipping off. I think I might get the 3 pin tool.
Edwin Negron awesome glad I could help! I use my tools all the time definitely worth having and most batteries are really easy to change I think after this I replaced batteries in 5-6 more watches!
Sadly I haven't found any aftermarket bands for this 1 that match the 1's I did the color was off, If I remember correctly this 1 has screws instead of pins and you'll need 2 small screwdrivers to be able to swap it.
Mine has a screw holding the battery in... slot is thinner than an eyeglass screwdriver can fit. I also need a new band... having to buy a kit, battery, and band makes me wonder if it’s worth it when it’s a $70 watch.
That's what I ran into with this 1 I needed a new band couldn't find the wright color and kind of gave up after that. Invicta definitely has some cool unique designs at a good price point but finding replacement parts is not so easy
Does changing the battery yourself this way affect the water resistance? The same at a jeweler? I have a sub aqua noma three, that is 500m water resistant.... needs a new battery.
JC Krynitz I'm sure it can, you want to make sure all the seals stay in or go back in place if you even nick one it would affect the water resistance. It really isn't going to be any different at a jeweler they're going to open the watch the same way, but if your watch is still under warranty you want to have an authorized dealer to it so you don't void the warranty.
Watchin' I've had this specific Noma since 2009! It has never needed a new battery until now, if I send it out to Invicta, they aren't going to do any kind of special pressurized test or anything? It's probably going to be the same procedure as opening the case back and replacing the battery you think?
JC Krynitz that's a good question, I'm not sure if they pressure test or not, honestly if imagine they just swap the battery and inspect the seals might be worth shooting them an email. Now I'm curious
Hi JC Krynitz, if you want to do the job yourself buy one of the grease pots which has a sponge impregnated with silicone grease to lubricate the case back seal. If you take your watch toa watch repairer he will be able to do a pressure test.
I opened my Invicta Subaqua back cover but mine isn't as easy to remove the battery as is yours. It has a cross looking lock that's on top of the battery and I'm not sure how to remove it in order to replace the battery. Any ideas of how I can remove that without taking it to invicta?
Dennis Rivera I’d almost have to see it.... a lot of the ones I’ve had similar to your description will have a small screw on one side that will have to be taken out to release the hold down bar.
girl600podcast you'll have to open the watches up first to see what batteries you need I bought a couple different assortment packages and for the most part the didn't get the correct sizes so I still had to order additional batteries after I opened mine up to see what they took.
Just stumbled on this vid, I don't ever touch the battery or inner workings of the watch for risk that they short out. I use plastic tweezers to hold the battery cell.
David thanks for the question, I opened up 5-6 of my watches when I did the battery on this one so I could get the sizes and I didn't think to much about brand, some came in and were energizer and some were cheap no name brand and a couple of those had already leaked and corroded so I scrapped those and ordered more energizers!
no need to do such hardwork and buy expensive tools guysi opened my Invicta 5511 from regular scissor, open scissor and point into two whole and move it, no scratch nothing in the watch, use any scissor who doesn't have sharp edges..
Muhammad Kaleem Khan I've had some case backs that were super tight that I don't I would've be able 2 use scissors. My luck I'd slip and stab myself with scissors! Lol
no way can I get my subaqua sport case back with scissors or anything else. my regular tool is not wide enough like shown in this video but good suggestion but its not working for me.
For how cheaply watch tools are available on eBay it’s a false economy to attempt opening with “household items” and run the risk of scratching or damaging a valuable watch! Rather you than me pal!
@@watchin9920 Sorry, That's how I broke my Australian Diver. I almost broke another one but decided to take it to watch repair shop instead for a battery replacement.
Most batteries are easy enough to replace, you should just be a bit more organised and way more gentle! The fact it’s still working is more luck than judgment!
Having the right tools for the right job is always a virtue. Thanks for this video demo.
Station Plaza thanks for checking it out!
Perfect solution for my Subaqua Noma III. Thanks for posting the video!
Glad to help! Thanks for checking out the vid!

skiesofrust I'm glad it helps! A couple of my videos show some strap changes as well! Thanks for Watchin'!
Back during the days of ShopNBC, I always wanted one with a Mother of Pearl face, this has reminded me of that desire - beautiful.
girl600podcast Yeah I bought quite a few of my Invicta watches from there watching the shows always gave me the itch to buy.
Bought the cheap 3 pin back tool & like you, it didn't fit my 50/52 mm, Used a dremel to, opened the slot near handle & yep, works fine! Thanks!
Gene Smith thanks for checking out the vid!

Edwin Negron awesome glad I could help! I use my tools all the time definitely worth having and most batteries are really easy to change I think after this I replaced batteries in 5-6 more watches!
Any advice on how to change the band on this exact watch????
Sadly I haven't found any aftermarket bands for this 1 that match the 1's I did the color was off, If I remember correctly this 1 has screws instead of pins and you'll need 2 small screwdrivers to be able to swap it.
Is there a video on how to replace the band on one of these?
I'm sorry I'm not sure if there is I know I had a hard time trying to even find a replacement band for this model
Thanks for the video, I had no idea how to open it! I found it very easy to just use some pliers to open it. My Leather wave opened it like a charm.
Salvatore Amico nice! Glad the video helped!
Obrigado, congratulations from brazil my friend !!

I'm not a big fan of Invicta but I do like that watch amazing video thanks!

I just wanted to know what battery was inside my smaller watches but now i'm thinking of bringing some on my SAN3's back to life.

Hahahhaha maybe a little! Not very easy 2 do from behind the camera. Thanks for checking it out
I'm sorry, but that movement is the cheapest looking I've ever seen.
Junior Bullock the funny thing is this one isn’t that bad, I’ve seen way worse in much more expensive watches.
