Sorry that “Krusty the Clown” line was fucking hilarious
I've met Big Kev. He's a great guy. I told him I had watched him since his days as Diesel. He smiled and said it was like talking to an old friend when someone says something like that.
That's awesome.
I met him too. He was pretty dry and didn't say much.
He’s not a great guy
@@mikedemirdjian9976you know him personally?
Lol at Nash talking shit to the laptop screen toward the end of Borne’s rant.

It’s the way Kev is talking to the laptop screen like borne is really there.
Hilarious Nash was arguing with the video calling him a mark 🤣🤣
@@jsXanatos He is pointing out that it is humorous, you clown shoe.

I always love when people slam nash for "only being in it for the money". Why else do you go to work? Lmao
It may surprise you but there are people out there who go to work because they enjoy what they're doing and take pride in what they are working on, passion is what drives them to work and money is just the bonus on top of all that. There are shit jobs that you do only for the money, you work only thinking about your upcoming paycheck and what you'll be doing with that money. But there are also jobs that you genuinely can love and what matters the most is not money but rather the feeling of accomplishment it provides at the end of the day.
@@TheFlamingPike Well if they have a true passion for these jobs then they should walk up to their boss and say "I'll work for free".
@@TheFlamingPike sounds like something a mark would say.
@@therealmaskedheel Whatever man. All I was saying is that people are different when it comes to their jobs. There are pro wrestlers who are 100% in it for the money, others are 50/50 and some even less in it for the money because they enjoy it. And it's like that for every single human being who goes to work, any kind of work.
Are they going to work for free? Hell no. That's a stupid argument in the first place. It's just a matter of how much you enjoy the thing you do versus how much you enjoy your paycheck.
@@TheFlamingPike You replied to the wrong troll.
Kayfabe died when we turned 13.
The old-schoolers expected us to stay stupid. I still watched the attitude era knowing it was fake, but it was still entertaining.

@@armenian_nightmare33 Except the Swedish chef's hands. They're frighteningly real.
Yikes it died for you? Shit, how old were you when you found out movies were fake too? Suspension of disbelief is how all that works.
You enjoy the experience of a movie that suspends your belief of reality, you don't celebrate it's exact point of absurdness. That's just silly talk by a person who thinks they are smart. We all know everything in a movie is fake and we don't let that interfere with our fun. Why don't you give that same grace to wrestling?
Since i was 6 I've known it was fake because in local shows my grandpa knew the guys and had drinks with them (i was born in the 80's). For me knowing the ingredients didn't make the dish taste worse. But i guess that might just be me.
The way Kevin Nash gave the finger is absolutely priceless! Say what you want about him. He is the guy to give the last word.

It's very sad what happened to Matt Borne. He had so much potential and his career should have been so much more. He was a fantastic worker.
He really was. I recently watched some very old episodes of Raw (from 1993 or so, when the show was new) and Doink was being pushed then. I was surprised to see that he was actually a good wrestler. My memory had always been that he was little more than a gimmicky midcarder but nah, despite being more or less booked that way, the guy actually had real talent.
@@MiketheratguyMultimedia great comment. Personally I think a feud between Matt Borne as Heel Doink and the Undertaker would have been money.
@@LALakersNornIron Now that you mention it I wonder why they didn't go that route. Surely the WWE would have put the two together at some point but I'm sitting here trying to think of a time that I ever saw them fight and I can't. That seems odd.
@@MiketheratguyMultimedia no they never fought. Borne debuted as Doink as a character in November 1992 and was sacked I believe in October 1993 just as Doink was a babyface. Taker was a baby face during the entire Doink run so they only had 9 to 10 months where Bornes heel Doink and Taker could have crossed paths. They should have set the feud up early summer 93 and had Doink the Clown vs The Undertaker at Summerslam. Let's be honest no one wanted to see Gonzalez v Taker at Summerslam. Can you imagine the mind games, angles and the promos and the vignettes between Doink and Taker if they had of done it? Unreal. I mean Taker had his mystical powers with the urn, and the lights and the caskets etc and Doink had his bag of tricks. Could have been very entertaining.
@@LALakersNornIron Wow, Borne was only doing Doink for a year? I always thought that he was playing the character much longer than that. Then again I stopped watching WWE around late 1994 so I guess I lost track. It would have been entertaining though, yeah, especially in the more cartoony days of the company.
Nash is hilarious arguing with the video of Doink lol, called him a mark and Krusty 😂😂😂 the makeup still on at the bar🤣
Not a fan of Kevin Nash, however, he says what's on his mind and he doesn't pull any punches. I think he's honest about his intentions and his reasons for getting into the wrestling buissness .
The exasperation in Nash’s voice and face when he realizes the “f word” was fake is incredible.
At one time, you would literally be beat into the emergency room for sayinng its fake. The old school guys would literally give their LIFE to protect the business. Nash came from that era and he is WELL AWARE OF IT.
Doink is from that era as well. Nash is just down playing it but he knows deep down Doink is right that Calling it Fake, in that era, was the worst thing you can do.
See, the guy that told nash whats real and whats not, didn't say its Fake in the lime light, it was a back stage one on one private conversation
@@DrMurdercockNo he is not from that era and I would love to see anyone from that era try to put 6' 11" Kevin Nash in the hospital. Tough chance. It's been known to be fake since the 1930's.

The Shockmaster is a name people remembers, too.
True Nash was basically calling him a loser in the wrestling buissness Nash had success in wrestling borne didn’t
just by describing it as a business he completely invalidated his argument. nash drew 1000x the money bourne ever did - if its a business, that's the most important thing
Part of what makes wrestling cool is the aspect that the performers do such a great job making it seem real and also very entertaining. Matt was without a doubt one of the top performers when he was doink the clown. It's a shame he didn't have this same passion for his own health as he did when someone called the wrestling business fake.
The way Kevin Nash starts talking to the screen like he could hear it...also Warrior also says the same about Doink ( Dork as Warrior says)

Seems like there are 2 types of wrestler.
One: Guys like Doink the clown. Their life is a wrestler. They lived to wrestle. They beat the shit out of himself, for very little and has nothing to show for it.
Two: The wrestler that was in on it. This was a career path for them and they treated it like a job and when they were done they had something to show for their efforts.

The difference is in Borne's era people got tested before they got in the business. Obviously that never happened to Nash.

Facts
Kevin Nash was always well known as WWE legend DIESEL ON WWF AND HIS TOUGHEST HARD FOUGHT MATCH WAS AGANIST THE UNDERTAKER AT WRESTLRMANIA, WHEN KEVIN NASH WAS TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER
I like Nash but this is so immature. Nash just ragged on Borne not becoming a top guy and bragged how much money he made. Borne didn't say he was a bad wrestler or that he himself should've been in Nash's spot. He said Nash had no respect for wrestling.
Maybe Borne is a fucking idiot who should keep his mouth closed then. Makes him look stupid to defend the "real honor" of a business that dressed him in a clown suit and never did anything with him, in comparison with a guy who didn't care at all in that way, and has no issues calling it fake, but made millions
Hahahaha love Nash... that was funny especially at the end 😂
Kevin Sullivan said Kevin Nash was the smartest wrestler ever in the business.
Mark Nairn behind hhh.
Rock said Nash was smart too.
Sullivan was smart but also insane lol. I think Chris Jericho is a really smart guy who understands the wrestling world in and out. Once he retires he should take control of the booking of either AEW or WWE. He would be a formidable booker IMO.

So it's like they are going to go at it this weekend at Madison Square Garden. RIP Matt Borne. But Nash was on fire in that interview. Still has his promo chops. 😂😂😂
It's interesting that he brings up betting on wrestling when you can now.
I don't think Matt Borne was saying that wrestling isn't fake, but that as a wrestler you don't talk about it being fake. Either way, Diesel's success was all about his look and persona. Matt Borne was a better in ring worker and infinitely better on the mic.
+peraltajg21
"don't talk about it being fake"
Which is an old school, and quite frankly outdated mentality. In this day and age everybody knows its fake, trying to avert the topic isnt going to make it any less fake. What keeps wrestling going these days its entertainment, the fact of the matter is Nash and the NWO provided for really entertaining stuff that drew crowds.
+sdc3536 In order to be entertained you have to have suspension of disbelief, same as any other form of entertainment. We all know movies are fake but you don't have actors constantly reminding you that movies are fake or mocking fans who really get into the characters and their stories.
his success was from being smart and right decisions. if hed been a dumb drug addict hed be washed up like many others
you had me until you said Mic work. Then nope not in a million years. On the Mic is Doink the stupid fucking clown better than Nash on the mic sorry.
Literally every wrestler's success is based on look and persona lol. The fuck are you talking about? If the guy's a good ring worker but looks like your average fuck working fast food, he's not going to get broken in. And Nash was one of the best on the mic.
Nash drew the least of all the champions, but Doink's biggest career moment was shooting on Duggan.
Nash drew more money than Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels during the New Generation era. If he wasn't a draw, you think Vince would kept him with the belt for a year? Also the least draw of all time was Eddie Guerrero, that's why they stripped him off the belt and gave it to JBL.
Actually Eddie wanted the belt off him because of the pressure. Vince asked him who he wanted to drop the belt to and Eddie said JBL. Before he passed away He was going to get a title shot for the world heavyweight title and it's going to be against Batista and Orton and was supposed to win Because Batista had that separated shoulder.
@@baldassodouniversoparalelo6972Nah, Vince kept the belt on Diesel for a year because he wanted to make him the next Hogan! It clearly failed, hence the fact Nash never got another title run in WWF as Diesel or himself during the 2nd run while Bret and Shawn had multiple title runs each!

Yeah, Warrior peaked massively, but then fizzled out drastically.
@@earzy9729 his decline was pretty ugly tbh which was sad.

What was that about the Ricky Morton pay day thing Nash talked about?
And Krusty The Clown xD, I can see Nash calling Bourne that and the irony of it was, Nash came in 1993 to the WWF and immedately was put into stuff with Shawn Michaels but where was Matt Bourne? He was gone within I think a few months after the "Doink face turn" which was due to drugs if I remember rightly.
+XTheVideoGamerGirlX Ricky Morton bitched about Nash being an asshole once… some heat was built over the internet and some wrestling promotion (maybe TNA) used it to book a match in the hopes it would generate some money because of their supposed real life feud. I think Nash pretty much squashed him in the match.
+drvn8 Nah, it wasn't TNA, but it was another Indy Wrestling promotion, I think AWE.
Mohammad Hussain yeah, I wasn't sure which one it was exactly.. thank you.
***** Yea, Nash walked out after saying "Aw what the hell, it's always about the money, keep buying my shirts etc cos I don't give a crap" or something like that and just left Morton a bloody mess in the ring cos originally it was supposed to have been Midnight Express vs Insiders (Nash & DDP), but the guy who got his arm broken by Morton came out, stopped the match and made it a one on one match.

When was this filmed?
Since this interview was recorded you can go to Vegas and place bets on WWE matches.Does that mean the outcomes are still pre-determined, or did wrestling become 'real' at some point? :)
Wrestling was always predetermined they were times where you thought you knew what the outcome was and they put still fool you and misdirect you with an outcome that you thought wasn't going to happen. There's times where you can tell a wrestler is going to win the match based on where he is in Statue versus the other Russell but then there's times where there's two wrestlers of equal where they can fool you and believe that the other officer was supposed to win and then the other one one. It's like movies where they're able to make a twist ending that the audience did not see coming
Anyone else think Kevin Nash has the skinniest little lady fingers they've ever seen on a 7' man?
Lol nice response there from Kevin. Loved him as Diesel, but I loved Doink too.
Matt Bourne was legit tough. Nash called in sick any time he was supposed todrop the belt, including having a "heart attack" from lifting a toolbox, for chrissake
Borne got his ass beat by every one in real fighting
I mean, I don't exactly know when this was filmed, but Nash isn't wrong. Times in wrestling have changed, Kayfabe is not what it once was. Fans are very much in the know when it comes to watching the shows. The risks and the toll it takes on a wrestlers body is very real, but the outcome, the story, it's like any other TV show. So saying it's fake, wouldn't really be such a horrible word to use today. Back in the 80's and 90's, absolutely.
Idk, if someone said I’m basically fake, I’d be kinda pissed.
@@elnino80100well you basically ARE fake
@@elnino80100Nash was a pro wrestler that sustained terrible injuries in the ring. He was also much more successful then Matt. If anyone can talk it's him.
I can see both viewpoints. Matt was a drug addict and addicts do often have a very different view of reality. But Tbh, i can understand Matt. Who really thought Wrestling was real outside of the US ? More or less just kids, in a country where a company has to write the silliest things on products cause people sue them if they dont, you dont wrestle there. If it where real, you could kill someone, something no one would want to take the responsiblity for. For me Doink was a Wrestler who brought Flavour in it. He had a Role, and he played it fine. I never had fear of Doink as a Kid, i loved him as a character ( i rarely seen him at all as an european kid). Diesel was much more present, but for me he wasnt interessting at all. A Placeholder to replace with whoever fits, doesnt matter he had titles. Saying its fake is unnecessary, cause if you didnt know it was fake you have another problem. But calling someone or the sport fake destroys the illusion, the same way you dont call car racing in movies fake, you know its fake, it just destroys the illusion. Later with WCW taking over WWF and that whole NWO Thing i lost interesst. It just was Bullshit. Kevin Nash was one of the people i would say are the reason for me i lost interest in Wrestling, it was "Cold", nothing to enchant you. And with that i would say Matt is very right, Kevin was one of the people who destroyed Wrestling. Not THE Person who destroyed it, but he played a part in it
The character of Doink was unique and I loved it. Kevin without the rest of the nwo guys is a nobody . Kevin is dch in real life and cold . I read a lot pf negative things about him . Even the warrior criticized him .
Kliq This before we knew what it was
Nash definitely isn't wrong. But I have to say that the pain and injuries are real as well. When you're Kevin Nash and you call it "fake" most people definitely aren't going to fight you or tell you you're wrong but when you're just a spectator to "the bidness (if you will?)" and you call it fake there are a lot of "wrassler's" that will proceed to put the hurt on you.
That's what he meant when he said "the money, and the miles"
That's why Kevin is smarten up people so they want kill themselves in the ring for peanuts.. Nobody shouldn't be fighting (Real or Predetermined) for no money.. That's insane.. I'm with Kevin on this one..
Definitely still fake. And more than a little homoerotic. Also, most wrassler's won't do dick about anyone saying shit. For every Nash or even Doink, there's a thousand dudes that noboys knows and never will know. And most of them don't know shit about actual fighting. Whole lot sure think they do because they pretend to do it, but when push comes to shove most of them realize the mistake real quick. Only people getting the hurt put on them are the ones half the size of whatever "wrassler"suddenly confident. It's not 1930 anymore dude, injuries and pain are suffered by a lot of people that work a hard job for a living. At this point there's enough info and knowledge out there to know that it's a stupid business to even try and earn money in and not good for future health, if you go in anyways then you deserve no sympathy when burn away 50 years in just 10.
Love or hate Nash, hell even make fun of his torn quad injury, he's right about the wrestling business, it's all about money and miles!
