All the men in the show has now passed away, Spede Show was iconic, 1980´s show. You could also react to any song by Vesa-Matti Loiri who is the younger man in the show. For example, Tonttu or Naurava Kulkuri, very different but his versatility comes so clear. He also was the main character in Uuno Turhopuro movies.
These three were some of the most famous actors/comedians in Finland. Especially Vesa-Matti Loiri, the "blond complainer" was insanely talented and famous multi-talent. He was not only our most prolific comedy actor of all time, he was also top class in many sports and won Finnish championships and was one of the most beloved artists of all time. He even participated in the Eurovision song contest back in the day Sadly they have all passed away already, with Loiri being the last one to go in 2022 😢
Loiri is a Finnish pop culture icon. His life work is amazing and it's a shame he isn't known about aboard. I think he won something big in at least pool. He shows off his pool skills in Uuno Armeijan Leivissä, where in the legendary 8 ball game scene against the officer, all those trick shots are performed by Loiri himself. An amazing multi talent all and all competing also in Finnish I think top level football during that era as a goalkeeper. Also found the time to become a opera singer, Finnish platinum selling artist and the most regocnized finnish comedy AND drama actor off probably all time.
The guy in the middle (Spede Pasanen) is the most famous and succesful entertainment maker in the history in Finland. He made dozens of comedy movies, many tv-shows, and series.
In the beginning of the video there sits Vesa-Matti "Vesku" Loiri (from the left), Pertti "Spede" Pasanen and Simo Salminen. All have passed on now, but all were beloved entertainers with long careers. Pasanen was the primus motor. Multi-talented Loiri often played the main character. Salminen often played a sidekick. Not much of their work have English subtitles, but here's one older (classical) comedy bit, as an introduction, which doesn't require subtitles. Pasanen became also known as an inventor, which might show: "Spede - Koomikko K. Ovimikko". (Relating to that bit, here are instructions on how to open a door: "How to open a door - Finnish instructional video from 1979"). Here's a theme song from a Western movie they made: "Vesku Loiri - Lonely Rider (Hirttämättömät)". Probably the most beloved comedy character, Uuno Turhapuro (Numbskull Emptybrook or Pointlessbrook), was their work. The character was first introduced on TV, and then went on to star in 20 movies between 1973-2004. People loved the movies, critics not so much. In this scene Uuno has moved from the countryside to Helsinki to get himself a rich wife. In just two weeks he has morphed into the most eligible bachelor in Helsinki, and more urban than the natives. He just needs couple of cigarettes and off to the dating service he is: "Kaupungin tavoitelluin poikamies". The rich father-in-law is not happy about his new son-in-law: "Elisabethin ja Uunon häät". Here we have Uuno freeloading and womanizing in English: "Uuno Turhapuro - Free coffee". In this scene the whole family is on a vacation in Spain, and Uuno takes part in a dancing competition. Whenever there's a beautiful woman around, Uuno turns into this incredible multi-talented playboy the women simply can't resist: "Uuno tanssii - Uuno dansar". Loiri had many characters. Here he plays a singer, Jean-Pierre Kusela, demonstrating how to laugh realistically when singing instead of sounding phony: "Jean-Pierre Kusela - Naurava kulkuri (Me río a la luz de la luna) (The laughing tramp) (1986)". Here's Uncle Nasse in English: "Uncle Nasse by Vesa-Matti Loiri". Uncle Nasse can speak English also: "Nasse Sedän Musiikki tuokio (English)".
This is a great skit, I loved Spede Show! Spede Pasanen, the man in red, was a clever guy and he was also an inventor. According to Wikipedia, Spede Show was produced 1964-1976 and 1981-1987.
I wouldn't say that. Real relationships were more complicated. In worst times, there were things that Russia (Soviet union) dictated, but the trick was to get most benefits out of it. You can't immediately do what Russia says, or it asks more. You have to make them pay the price somewhere else. Our politicians were pretty good in that game.
The man on the left is Vesa-Matti Loiri. He is one of the greatest Finnish multi-talents. A Finnish champion in more than one ball sport and he himself said he plays ball sports from ice-hockey to pool and he surely did. And in performing arts he is a song writer, singer and actor, in which he was considered one of the best in Finland. If there ever was a multitalented person, he was one of them. He died in 2022.
These three are absolute LEGENDS in our comedy and TV history. I have watched their shows and movies since I was a child. They almost never did any dirty jokes and basically never used any swear words, with few exceptions here and there. They made people laugh without going for the low hanging fruits. They were clever, ahead of their time and INCREDIBLY talented actors. Some of my favorite sketches skits in Spede Show was the "Misunderstanding Play." Väärinkäsitysnäytelmä.
Yeah, in regards to Russia, it has always been the same bully, nothing changes over the decades and centuries. During the Cold War Finland was basically turning the other cheek to some extent, but that is not the case anymore. So in that sense times have changed. And I don't think there's been many airspace violations in recent years - of course partly because Russians need their air force "somewhere else" right now...
This is somewhat comical... 😏😏At that time we were under the thumb of Russia and now we are under the thumb of the USA and the EU... So the situation is the same oppressor, only changed🤔
@@joojoojeejee6058 You don't seem to understand other options than Russia or the American dream 😏😏 Of course, that's the purpose of this Woke/globalist world view, so you think what "DETERMINED" wants you to think and do. 🤔
@@joojoojeejee6058 They indeed need them "somewhere else" but now that Finland is part of Nato I would guess the airspace violations might reduce too. But now that there is a military alliance behind them I would think Russian military would stop playing with fire so eagerly. Unless of course Russians did the same shenanigans with Nato countries too?
I was a conscript in the air force in 1990, and even then the eastern neighbor tested by flying fighter jets towards Finland and measured time to see how fast the Finnish fighter jets could counter. Now Putler is building garrisons close the Finnish border, because Finland is a big threat to little Russia.
Glad it isn't like that anymore.... ..that "so what?!" has got an answer now... ..We have the capacity to force them away, which we didn't have back then. Nor are in any business with them anymore. Russia backed itself into a corner and is now faced with NATO everywhere on the Baltic sea and Gulf Of Finland....
Would have preferred Russia not assaulting it's neighbouring country and regular commerce continuing between EU and Russia. But it is what it is. No one wins in war but you can win when doing commercial trading.

It is funny how Finland is so used to the Russian airspace violations that now that we are in Nato, there was a Russian plane doing an airspace violation that both British and French planes went to check out. There was a big news story about it, but the Finnish Air Force surely checked it out too, but because it is such a normal thing to happen here, nobody cared and the Finnish Air Force didn't even care to give a press release. 😅

When Putin came to Helsinki to meet Trump, so when leaving and flying back to Moscow, his plane was just a little bit cutting over Estonian airspace. I am sure it was not an accident but just to give also Estonians the possibility to ask "Mitä sitte?".
