We have priests and orthodox Christian followers that go to those churches every single day. I believe that Christianity in its purest form, is found in Ethiopia. It’s also the oldest Christian country in the world after Armenia.

I found my way here after reading "The Sign and the Seal" by Graham Hancock. He tells the story of his tracking the history and travels of the Ark from Jerusalem in 955 BC to Elephantine, Egypt around 650 BC to the island of Tana Qirqos, Ethiopia around 450 BC and finally to Aksum around 350 AD.

Sorry to disappoint you, the Ark of the Covenant is not in Ethiopia. Documentation in photos and interviews can be seen in a German publication “Deutsch Amerika”. The Ark was given to Pope Pius XII by the Germans after WWII because the Pope was a German sympathetizer.

Ethiopian Orthodox church just continuies carrying the pre-christian tradtions, as it wasn't exposed to early reformation like the other East and Oriental Orthodox church did.
