Nice work would’ve been nice to see it boot up with a battery, I’m about to attempt this even though I don’t have much soldering experience, actually the only thing I’ve ever soldered was a battery on an iPod nano 4 recently and I hear that’s pretty hard as well 🤔
Hey I was the same as you. Practice on dead phone boards where you practice welding usb ports. If you can do them cleanly you're well on your way. You need good magnification though
Why did you have to connect a wire and not simply resolder the pin onto the plate? Originally the video showed that there was solder missing from that gnd pin. Why didn't you just apply solder onto it, as is? Also, what size solder did you use? .5mm? And what solder? Chep Quick?

The pad was torn up so there was nothing for the solder to stick to.
