    Your spinning algae ball is fascinating to me, I never seen one of those.

    I used to have one but he passed away, and watching this video makes me want to get another one. Jack Blenny was a really good eater, always fat! I enjoyed this video - thank you! 👍🏻👍🏻

      Yeah I agree, they really are nice to have! And indeed Nori is also something they love, but my Foxface just shreds it apart haha

    Your tank is beautiful. What are your water parameters like the specifically the nitrates and what kind of par do you have on your Sandbed? I’m curious I’m trying to get my corals to look like that.

    I have had 2 Algae Blennies and both have died. They wouldn’t eat anything and basically starved to death. I don’t know why? There’s plenty of algae on the glass, rocks etc, plus feeding mixture of frozen foods, spirulina, grazer tablets, nori seaweed and still no luck. All the other fish, invertebrates etc flourishing. Any advice will be appreciated

    • @DutchReefer
      @DutchReefer  4 года назад

      Hi Andrew, Somehow it died at some time while being absolutely fat and chubby, don't know what happened to him.. The dragonets have been devoured by a Decorator Crab that I bought. But that was years ago :)

    mijn salarias is helaas gestorven omdat hij enkel draadalg wilde eten.
    Ik heb verschillende dingen geprobeerd zonder succes.
    Heb je tips hoe ik zulk koppig dier aan het eten krijg?
    En hoe bekijk jij wat de juiste verhouding zou moeten zijn van volume/cleaning crew?
    weermaals leuke video!

    • @DutchReefer
      @DutchReefer  6 лет назад

      Oh dat is niet leuk zeg, meestal zijn het echt gulzige vissen die vrijwel alles eten! Je zou kunnen proberen met de stroming uit de vis gericht te voeren met een grote pipet, net zo lang tot hij door heeft dat hij het moet eten. En CUC is een beetje op gevoel, als ik te veel rommel zie verschijnen dan koop ik er wat slakken ofzo bij. Thanks!

    Do you keep your light on a reverse light cycle to your tank or do you run it all the time in your sump?

    • @DutchReefer
      @DutchReefer  6 лет назад +1

      No it's on 24/7, I read that because macro algae are fairly simple plants they can take it
