    Friends! If you found this video helpful, here's another one, that I've put a load of time into🌟ruclips.net/video/8HNz5Mb_lzM/видео.html

    This was excellent information. Has helped me decide what paint to buy. For a white T-shirt, sounds like I want transparent ones. Once I have set the paint, I want to add embroidery to it as well.

    Hello
    I'm Davison and I have one question.
    Which frabric paint do you suggest to paint on clothes. Because the one that I use fade away after wash it.So I would like to buy the best one that doesn't fade away.
    Love your work 🙏🏾

      Hello Davison it's very nice of you to have introduced yourself, and thanks for kind words ☀️
      I noticed you've watched this video too:ruclips.net/video/lwJCvQ8bkJ4/видео.html , so to answer your question, I'd like to refer to that video to help you decide about the choice of fabric paint.
      There are quite a few good brands of fabric paint that I've already come across in my practice, which are bright, soft to touch and permanent on textile. I'm trying to show them all in Fabric Paint Crash test and Review playlist. As I've mentioned in that video (link above) your choice of fabric paint can depend on several factors, hence you'll pick the one that suits the need of project.
      ☑️Fabric paint with good opacity(for dark textile) and softness that I can recommend at this point: Pebeo Setacolor Opaque, Kreul Javana Opaque.
      ☑️For light colored fabrics: Pebeo Setacolor Light Fabrics (Transparent), Jacquard Textile Colors (the set I reviewed, not other kinds), Kreul Javana for Light Fabrics, Marabu Textile (also very pigmented paints, soft and bright 😎)
      So in general, you may take a look at these and choose depending on whichever is more accessible to you.
      ❗But, even if you're using these recommended options, a proper application and heat fixing, and later care (laundry instructions) are very important in order to safeguard your design from fading😉
      I invite you to also Join the free Course and in general my site www.fabricpaintingcoach.com. Lessons are being updated there weekly, but already now you can see all the upcoming topics I'll be sharing. I believe they'll be able to help with many things you're about to discover in this awesome kind of art 🎨

    Hi again, I meant to ask if you can to tell me whether the opache Setacolour can be watered down to use them like watercolours to paint fabric landscapes, skies etc as I cannot find the transparent Setacolors in the UK? Thank you xx

    • @FabricPaintingCoach
      @FabricPaintingCoach  2 года назад +1

      Hello Michelle, yes of course, you can dilute Setacolor Opaque for watercolor technique. This paint is nicely pigmented and gives good results even when diluted
      However, I made a simple Google search and found quite a few links with shops in UK offering Setacolor transparent range of paints. This is one of them, just random theartshopskipton.co.uk/pebeo-setacolor-light-fabrics-fabric-paint-45ml?gclid=Cj0KCQiA64GRBhCZARIsAHOLriI5Ccr84PQtkZHl3GA1z2aHajTIz06XSNyO8NuVcbtrh-mndH9J22caAofTEALw_wcB
      Just make sure to search it by its correct name : Pebeo Setacolor Light Fabrics. And then pay attention that it won't be with glitter or other effect. The right bottle with this name is through the link I attached
      I hope this helps, let me know if you'll be able to find what you need, ok?

      Hi Emma! Thanks for your question and sorry for belated respond..
      It sounds like an amazingly creative idea to paint a wedding dress :)
      At the moment, there's no review on Pebeo Setasilk paints on my channel just yet. I do have a set of them though and can give a few tips.
      Depending on type of fabric of your dress, techniques can vary. It's much easier to spread a loose paint on a synthetic fabric, rather than on a cotton one. In both cases Satasilk is suitable, as it is made for both natural and man-made textiles.
      You will definitely want to take a few small cups/containers to dilute desired colors in different proportions with water. Applying Setasilk straight from the jar to fabric is ok only in few cases, when you want to create depth effect. If your area of expertise is watercolor - you probably understand what I mean. We work in the same manner - from light to dark - in a loose acrylic technique on fabric.
      Try to experiment with different effects as well. Like applying grains of salt on your wet colored fabric. Results can be really impressive.
      Alternatively to a brushwork, I could suggest you to use a spray bottle with diluted Setasilk paint, this will help you to cover a bigger area much quicker.
      I hope it was helpful.
      I'll be very happy to see your project, if you'll feel like sharing it with us. You can do this on our FPC community Forum: www.fabricpaintingcoach.com/forum/projects-experience
      Happy New Year to you!

      Hi, to add to my earlier answer to you, I also found what seems like a good offer on Amazon in UK. It's a starter kit for Setacolor Light Fabrics (6 bottles x 20ml) amzn.to/3IK9dGP. Just keep in mind, that in case you need a white paint, it is only available from Opaque series. The color range in this set seems appropriate for a landscape motif, but you're the judge :) Enjoy the painting!

    I used them on a shirt, 100% cotton, then I used an iron for 5 minutes and wanted to give it as a gift right away, but I thought it would be nice to find out first that they are durable, so that there would be no disgust that the recipient would be disappointed after the first wash. Well, after washing at 30 degrees I am disappointed, because the paints are not durable at all. What could have gone wrong?

    • @FabricPaintingCoach
      @FabricPaintingCoach  Год назад +1

      Hi Monia,
      so sorry to hear that your work didn't turn out the way you expected....
      As any other fabric paint, Setacolor has to be used following textile painting techniques, which sometimes people can skip on here and there...
      To be able to help you find the reason what could have gone wrong, take me through your painting process step by step, like: what type of design is it? What's the color of a shirt, is it light or dark? How many paint layers have you applied and whether or not you'd let them dry completely before applying the next one? Have you used any other paint together with Setacolor? How many hours your design was allowed to rest before ironing?How many days have passed before you washed the shirt?
      There really can be one or two "hick ups " which may disturb paint's integrity/permanence... So let me know ok?

    Can you use this for canvas shoes?

    • @FabricPaintingCoach
      @FabricPaintingCoach  3 года назад

      Yes, you definitely can. Only remember that this paint is for light colored fabrics, so better use it on white canvas shoes. For darker shades use Setacolor Opaque.
      To paint on canvas shoes we can use the same method as with painting on fabric: wash them with soap before painting; use moderate paint layers and heat fix finished design with a hair dryer for a few minutes👍

    • @Pelin0815
      @Pelin0815 3 года назад

      @@FabricPaintingCoach thank you! So you must clean it? I thought to paint it without washing but this is important I think? I have white setacolor opaque and I want to repaint my white vans. Is that ok you think?

    • @FabricPaintingCoach
      @FabricPaintingCoach  3 года назад

      @@Pelin0815 totally ok! But yes, especially since you've worn these shoes already, it's best to make sure no dust or dirt or any other stuff will get in the way of bond between paint and fabric. Just rub them with soapy sponge and rinse as properly with water. Let dry completely before applying white paint.
      Just a remark. In case you're doing it to restore the whiteness of canvas and will feell like putting more paint, do it gradually with layers, letting each one of them to also become completely dry before applying the next one 🙂

    good evening a question can I use these colors for painting on cotton or linen? by the method marbling or ebru ? thanks very much !!!!

    • @FabricPaintingCoach
      @FabricPaintingCoach  3 года назад +1

      Hello! Thanks for your question, it's a good one!
      Yes, Pebeo Setacolor Light Fabrics can be used on cotton and linen perfectly. However, if you want to do marbling effect/ebru on cotton or linen, this isn't the paint to use. There's a specific type of paints for marbling effect (Pebeo Marbling or Jacquard Marbling Color).
      If you drip (pour) some fabric paint into water bath, it'll act as a simple colorant, while paint with marbling effect will float on the surface of water to allow you to pick up those swirls onto piece of fabric or any other porous surface.
