- Harvesting the 50 litre container pot of Sarpo Mira Potatoes.
I've never grown potatoes in pots bigger than 30 litres before so tried 4 seed potatoes in this larger 50 litre pot.
I'm now thinking this may be the way to grow them in future after the crop I got from this one.
Happy Gardening.

i LOVE watching potato reveals,, Seriously!
Me too 😘
Me too! I just want to be emptying the pots out all day and diving in with my hands! Can't wait for my own pots to mature. It's like Christmas!
It's like watching someone unwrap a present, but better
It's good to see he got great harvest, I'd great foliage on 2 pots this year and only 20 tiny spuds inside
Meeee tooo! 😆
I must watch this video 3 or 4 times a year..never tire of it
Wow. That is very, very impressive! You could feed a small neighbourhood in a space the size of a garage like that!
I just cant believe how they have access to just such a large variety of fruits , trees and plants. Feels like they live in paradise. Fresh produce right on their door step , surrounded by nature and enjoyed together in a close knit family and community! All the money in the world cant buy what they have.
I've lost count of how many times i' ve watched this video.. just amazing. Thanks again for sharing.
That's ridiculous! Your various potato videos blow me away. Huge harvests with huge potato, sweet and "regular" :D
I guessed about 25 lbs. Wow! Great harvest for one pot😃👍
Dan, you have to be the Spud King! I am always amazed at the volume of potatoes you produce in those pots. I think I'll need to have a talk with each seed potato I put in the pots next Spring!
WOW, is right. Nice size potatoes. Good job.
I love allotment garden videos. There's something nostalgic about them.
WoW!! Please share your soil/fertilizer mix with the rest of us.
25 lbs is an amazing crop. Good for you!
I wish we could get Sarpo Mira Potatoes here in the USA.
Awesome! I’m planting potatoes next year zone 6a Michigan 🙋🏾♀️
How'd it go for you? Doing the same in same zone, same state.
Oh my goodness how beautiful. I never got that much in one pot. Congratulation to you.
May I see the clip when you' d started planting
Oh wow what a joy watching this video 25pounds for 1 bucket
That's what you call a good crop from a pot! Nice one!
Well done sir. I got like, 6 potatoes out of 3 pots. Its just to hot here i guess. My sweet potatoes did pretty well. One of those spud will feed an entire family.
+Bernard Schipano 1 spud fed 3 of us yesterday.
Cheers, Dan.
Something great about harvesting potatoes, searching for those gems under the soil.Wonderful.
Please, will you share your soil mix and growing technique with us? We're all interested in growing awesome reveals such as this. Thank you for posting great videos.
If your a true fan you will know it's always blood , fish , and bone + compost and manure
I'M STUNNED!
Can't believe my eyes that's mad how do you do it well done
Those are some nice potatoes. Good job
At last, a northern lad!!
This'll be my first year growing spuds in tubs. Been in a few week and really taking off now. 4 tubs and one compost bag. So let's see eh!
That's a crazy yield man wow congrats
WOW!!! Gorgeous crop!!! Praise God!!!
I waffle my way through lots on my allotment. That's an amazing crop. That's fabulous 25lb of potatoes, that was the same weight as my largest Pumpkin which was 26lb!!
+clairesallotment Think I might stick to bigger pots for next year after doing this.
Cheers, Dan.
Hi Dan, I worked out that if this is a 50 litre pot, and you got 25lb, then if you ordinarily grow in a 30 litre pot, and equivalent haul would have been 15lb in a 30litre pot.
Incredible yield for on pot.
Good crop Dan!!!! We can't eat the Sarpo Mira fast enough. last year I left them in the ground until February with very little slug damage. Still got 2 rows in now. They are the wonder potato. Great reveal and thanks for sharing.
Cheers.......Nigel
+MuddyBootz I've never had any pests or disease on mine ever either.
Cheers, Dan.
Please show us how you planted the pot. Great reveal!!
Congratulations!!! How beautiful and how nice to watch your bounty.
Whao! That was a good harvest!
I want to go to England and visit all of these allotments I follow. Wow oh wow!
Explain how you layer your potatoes to get such a good crop. Also what types of soil did you use?
Yes, please explain !!
Guys the VERY best medium to grow potatoes in has to be irish moss peat. The acidic conditions are what they love...
You got to be lucky, or... a tricked a video. Unless getting GMO commercial seedlings.
Wao, what planting method you used. Never seen potatoes produced this much before.
Absolutely amazing! Giant spuds indeed.
You have some beautiful potatoes out of that harvest. Nice!
*Great job. My heart as a mechanical engineer beats with joy*
That was brilliant. Your excitement of uncovering the potatoes was entertaining. I did doubt your bag was going to hold though. I hope my yield this year is better than last.
Beautiful lesson and nice idea about learning how to digging in conatiner
Potato is a good vegetable, delicious
I hope when I harvest I don't have no heartattack of excited love it..

I enjoyed watching this video.
Lucky you , good crop of potatoes. I hope I can grow as well as you did.
OMG 😳 what a secret planting
Congrats on the good crop. Will start this season planting potatoes in pots. Not sure how to start. Do you have a video on how to plant them, ie, soil and feed etc. Time of year and weather conditions? Going to click on your vlog but anyone with any way to start is welcome to answer.
Check out Hollis and Nancy's Homestead YT channel.
He did a wonderful potato planting and growing video.
Actually, its a 2 or 3 part series. Great teachings!
Отлично ! Картошка крупная ...надо попробовать ..а у меня в мешках нифига не выросла ..
Amazing...this is really inspiring
Wow it's beautiful..Blessings
I am so tempted to only grow spuds in pots this coming season. I grew Sarpo Mira's in the ground this year, they are unstoppable, I had to dig them in the end to clear the ground. Saying that my SunBaby Gold cherry toms are still growing in Nov in the UK!!!!!!
+Andy Mahoney Crazy weather this Autumn, no signs of any frost yet.
Hope we get a cold Winter for once to kill all the bugs off.
Cheers, Dan.
Wow what a harvest well done mate

Wow your potato are very very big I like it 😯
Amazing. Thannks for that.
Your soil is so light and fluffy
I can't believe that harvest and the size of those spuds, you have one meal with the one potato! Great gong Dan. I'm trying Sarpos next year that's for sure. Kim
+The Abled Gardener Used 1 potato the other day for chips and it fed 3 of us.
Cheers, Dan.
You can't beat that!. Those could feed you all winter long.
Thank You Loader. That was outstanding. I have got to try that. An AMAZING load.
Wow, just wow!
Good crop. I did get a bit of tuber blight this year on the Sarpo Mira but only about 5 tubers out of 200lb + of spuds so can't complain. I've got 3 x 30L pots of sarpos in my garden still with green leaves on but I think they've stopped growing now.
+catscats50 It's crazy how they just keep growing until the frost cuts 'em down.
Cheers, Dan.
Love to see.....you are always with nature.... please suggest me too

+Scott Parker Poundland 10p bag for life....
Cheers, Dan.
Very inspiring... I need to get busy
Gracias
Wow amazing harvest. I’m going to try this. Thanks
Nice job. Very impressive. My Yukon potatoes were minimal this year. I used the Root Pouches this year and they seem to just absorb the moisture from the soil. Again, nice work. Enjoy the chips:)
+Larry Brewer I had to water heavily this Summer, we didn't have much rain over here.
Cheers, Dan.
That's an incredible yield out of one pot....we're unable to get Sarpo Mira here in the US. Thanks for the great vids.
I can give you :) . Sarpo Mira originally from my country, Hungary. Its a sad story but a great potatoes with a wide range resistance of viruses.
Well done!! That is the Mother Load of potato growing! Amazing.
+auntnut2011 It's easier than digging them up.
Cheers, Dan.
Fantastisch!!!👍👍👍
