    Thanks for your efforts. I have 2 brand new H Hailong 48V batteries. I got a new bike with the best battery that I felt I could afford and my bike cam with 17ah (Dragon) with LG cells. The newer one I bought for longer rides is 15ah with Panasonic cells. Strangely they both read 54 volts but my bike only goes 32 MPH on the LG's and 35 MPH (34.9) on the Panasonic batteries. I think the Panasonic is lighter too but it may have less cells I'm not sure I didn't count them dogh. So anyway I cut both my USB wires preemptively and everything still works fine (except the USB lol). One was actually a plug so I just unplugged it and actually its a different design so maybe they wont have the same probs but I dont want it to drain constantly anyway. Thanks for the tip definitely appreciate it and I'm def gonna check out your other vids and subscribe.

    You did just cut the red wire to the usb module. So you didn’t actually repair it to its original functioning state. You got the battery working again, but is it true that the customer will not have a working USB port?

    • @dmichaelgould75
      @dmichaelgould75 2 года назад +1

      If that is the case with my 36v 15ah Hailong batteries is because of the USB port draining the battery, I don't use those ports anyway and also to reset my BMS as well. I had my batteries sit unused during the winter season and noticed even after charging, it still wouldn't turn on the bike. I thought it was the controller but when I used a new 36v 20ah Lifepo4 battery, everything came on. So I suspected the Hailong batteries BMS to be in a sleep mode. And disconnect the USB circuit as well. Thanks for the information!

    have a Hailong 36v volt 13 AH battery. It does NOT have a USB port and is the old style 4 blade. My bike has a volt meter and today when I reinstalled it after recharging it, it shows ZERO volts and doesn't power on the bike. This battery has the charge indicator built in and it shows fully charged. I took it apart and and tested the voltage at the plug that powers the charge indicator status and it showed 41.4 volts. I have NO power at the output blades that feed/power the bike. What could be wrong? Bad BMS ??? a fuse I didnt see? any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello sirs. I have a 48v20ah scooter battery, that I left on and drained all the way down to 28.4v and will not charge with my charger it came with.- my question is, -- battery its at 28.4v , and what volt do I need to NICAD trick it to then use my regular 58.4v 2ah charger? --- I am thinking 33-38v? I don't want to over charge it with nicad just enough to get it to read out on the original charger-- what is the proper stop v? Thanks man.

    My battery (48v 13ah) only charges to 49-50v, and discharges very quickly (under 2 miles). Is this indicative of bad cells or a bad BMS? The seller won't refund me as its just out of warranty so I need to fix it myself.

      Check first why it charges only to 50v.
      Check your charger.
      Do you have a multimeter.
      The voltage of the charger should be 54.6v.
      How much are you pulling from your battery. If you pull alot of power from your battery you can drain it very fast and also if your battery is very old it can get empty very fast

    • @bigalski1963

      @@ak16-i5z the charger is fine, outputs 54v. The battery pack has covered just 60 miles from new, normal road use powering a 1000w Voilamart hub motor. Its definitely not heavy use that's draining the battery, the battery is faulty.

    My hailong battery is stuck to my ebike, it will slide off like 2 cm and then hit a wall on the mount. No amount of forcing it off will make it budge, and I can't get the mount off without first getting the battery off. thinking of taking the cover of the bottom of the battery and dremelling out a hole where I can unscrew the mount and see what is happening with it.

    • @danpagejr
      @danpagejr Год назад

      2cm seems a little short but it doesn't slide very far anyway maybe a 1/4 inch before you can lift it up. It sounds like a contactor broke and its probably causing it to bind and get stuck. You're sure its not locked right? Do you have to take it off or can you charge it on the bike? I dont think you have much choice but to break it. Luckily you can get all the parts I think including a whole new case with keys. I would just charge it on the bike until it goes bad then it won't matter if you break it.

Cells say they are 3.6v, 2500 mAh, 9.0Watts. 5 batteries read 1.2 volts when still in the pack. I figured they were bad, so I removed them. Then I checked them again out of the pack and got crazy numbers. Here are the numbers, Why? 5.6v, 1.9v 5.6v 1.3v 13.1v HELP PLEASE!

      Since the cells are all in parallel sets, it would be better to tear it apart and revive cells one by one, but idk what the chance are, it would sure work fine for running some LEDs, but you will only know when you know...

    Here's one
    48 v 750 1000 w controller.
    Not using peddle assist or break cutout.motor.
    I've been over my ebike 19 times.
    All the phases are right and tight.
    The halls too.
    No shorts no opens.
    You start off a few blocks and it skips skips again then dies in 10 seconds or less.
    Remove the fuse, it's ok. Before the fuse is reset just toching the connections power comes back on?
    Done this 39 times.
    This time close to power I plugged in the charger. The lights came on. No it were not dead. Just hitting the controller with volts turns it on ?!?!!
    Wakes up? Then asleep again.
    I've cut out the fuse and wired direct just to eliminate the fuse holder. I do not think it is the fuse holder
    Why does cycling the power fix it for 5 min.?
    I think it's the controller. It's a couple months old like the rest
