Thanks for your efforts. I have 2 brand new H Hailong 48V batteries. I got a new bike with the best battery that I felt I could afford and my bike cam with 17ah (Dragon) with LG cells. The newer one I bought for longer rides is 15ah with Panasonic cells. Strangely they both read 54 volts but my bike only goes 32 MPH on the LG's and 35 MPH (34.9) on the Panasonic batteries. I think the Panasonic is lighter too but it may have less cells I'm not sure I didn't count them dogh. So anyway I cut both my USB wires preemptively and everything still works fine (except the USB lol). One was actually a plug so I just unplugged it and actually its a different design so maybe they wont have the same probs but I dont want it to drain constantly anyway. Thanks for the tip definitely appreciate it and I'm def gonna check out your other vids and subscribe.
You did just cut the red wire to the usb module. So you didn’t actually repair it to its original functioning state. You got the battery working again, but is it true that the customer will not have a working USB port?
If that is the case with my 36v 15ah Hailong batteries is because of the USB port draining the battery, I don't use those ports anyway and also to reset my BMS as well. I had my batteries sit unused during the winter season and noticed even after charging, it still wouldn't turn on the bike. I thought it was the controller but when I used a new 36v 20ah Lifepo4 battery, everything came on. So I suspected the Hailong batteries BMS to be in a sleep mode. And disconnect the USB circuit as well. Thanks for the information!

Check first why it charges only to 50v. Check your charger. Do you have a multimeter. The voltage of the charger should be 54.6v. How much are you pulling from your battery. If you pull alot of power from your battery you can drain it very fast and also if your battery is very old it can get empty very fast

My hailong battery is stuck to my ebike, it will slide off like 2 cm and then hit a wall on the mount. No amount of forcing it off will make it budge, and I can't get the mount off without first getting the battery off. thinking of taking the cover of the bottom of the battery and dremelling out a hole where I can unscrew the mount and see what is happening with it.
2cm seems a little short but it doesn't slide very far anyway maybe a 1/4 inch before you can lift it up. It sounds like a contactor broke and its probably causing it to bind and get stuck. You're sure its not locked right? Do you have to take it off or can you charge it on the bike? I dont think you have much choice but to break it. Luckily you can get all the parts I think including a whole new case with keys. I would just charge it on the bike until it goes bad then it won't matter if you break it.
Hi . I have a 36v battery and I checked all cells which was around 4.1 volts except the last one which was near B- and was 3.7 v . so are they faulty ?
I have a question. I checked voltage in each battery cell on a 36v 500w e-bike battery, they were 4.3v in each cell, accepted 5 cells. Cells say they are 3.6v, 2500 mAh, 9.0Watts. 5 batteries read 1.2 volts when still in the pack. I figured they were bad, so I removed them. Then I checked them again out of the pack and got crazy numbers. Here are the numbers, Why? 5.6v, 1.9v 5.6v 1.3v 13.1v HELP PLEASE!
I was riding my e bike uphill on pas 5 and it shut off randomly aftet the voltage got to 47v the battery charges and the display comes on but turns off 2 seconds later any ideas?
My roommate just bought the exact same battery. It doesn't do anything right out of the box. Doesn't power anything. The indicator light doesn't do anything and won't charge. Bought it off amazon, amazon says they can't do a return and I can't get ahold of the manufacturer to replace or repair it. Could it also be the usb?
Hi, I have bafang mid drive and baterrynis hailong.. i test the battery and output is 54v.. its full charged but on displaynit says 0% and not running.. i tried connecting other battery on my bike everything is ok.. what is the likely cause of the prob.? Thanks
I had x5 bad cells giving me the same condition, the BMS shut the output down to save the other cells. It would show full on the indicator, would charge for a minute then go green, would show 0v output but testing at the charge port would show 54v.
Unbelievable that it was that stupid USB port. What exactly was wrong with the usb port? Did it short out somehow, causing the BMS to go into a "safety" mode?
I've got a similar battery I'm trying to troubleshoot, when I go across individual batteries they all read about 1.5 volts.... Is that too far gone? Or do I need to de solder the batteries from each other to get an accurate voltage?
Since the cells are all in parallel sets, it would be better to tear it apart and revive cells one by one, but idk what the chance are, it would sure work fine for running some LEDs, but you will only know when you know...
