Thinking of getting these myself buddy. So the optional filter is to completely block out noise. If I just want to block wind noise out then do you think I won't need them ?
Ultimate Ears Had a pair off these guys had them seven years now no problems at all The jack plug on yours his massive compared to mine plus the jack is waterproof and on a 45 degree angle I'm due a new pair and CFG are in my area So I'm in two minds now after your review thanks tho
I found your youtube channel as I was considering getting a pair of CF Auto ear plugs from CFG.and I thought I would ask have you been able to get the damaged ear plug fixed - and what if anything has CFG done to put it right ? have you been able to use it with the tear ? has CFG said how this can occur in one of the ear plug? Please if you can let me know. Thanks Carl
carl lewis they’ve rung and offered to fix the tear and put a stereo plug on, which seems fair. Seems the red stuff they use may be somewhat less pliable than other colours. To be absolutely fair, the tear makes no difference to their efficacy - it’s always under my lid, the tear is not next to my skin, and the plugs work very well. I’d buy again, but likely a different colour!
Hello newbie from Teapotone channel here. Have to say those guards don't seem worth the money, seems to me if the cable rubs on clothing you'll hear it. I had a normal set of earbuds like that and it's very annoying. I use earplugs all the time, ProGuards with filter and I wouldn't ride without them. But £150 for these, not sure it's worth it..
I'd tend to agree - but... they're actually comfy under the lid, and, with the balaclava on, they're not rubbing. That's with a new lid, on which I'll be doing a video. Under the NEXX lid, though, they're annoying... And thanks very much for the sub!

Any update on the response to these? I’ve ordered a passive set, but since ordered the PackTalk Bold, so I’m thinking I might go active instead.
Nothing to report at the mo, other than they’re actually pretty good in actual use under the new lid...
Is the 3.5mm jack plug waterproof? I need it to be waterproof in order to plug into my comms on the outside of crash helmet.
It’s the socket you need to worry about. I tend to tuc mine under the cowl - so far, no issues in rain.

Cutting out all noise I would have thought is dangerous.
me too - but some folks may wish to.
The most noise reductive ones that CFG make are the CF Block or the CF Moto Block both of which block all frequencies with an SNR of around 30db
Ashley Scott indeed so. Mine will block all at the same level with the block filter in. i don’t like it. Too isolating.
