Maybe I’m just not Hmong enough but I didn’t see anything wrong with this relationship. They’re around the same age and different last name, plus that’s your mom’s brother not hers. When you repeatedly tell someone what they are doing is wrong they will come to believe you. It’s sad how we’re brainwashed to thinking marrying our 1st cousin with different last name is fine but in this case it’s not.
In this situation, they're both single and love each other. I don't see why they can't weather a tiny scandal. So sad. We need courage to love. Love is the greatest thing. Never give it up for no reason like this situation.
