    i work at silver glenn and had no idea of what was really in the well as we call it,thank you so much for the look inside the best spring in the Ocala National Forest, Silver Glenn hell to the yeah!

    I have not been Free Diving in Le Pit in years since they blocked it off (well, there was that one time when no one was around, but...). I had NO idea it opened up like that! Absolutely amazing!!

    Sweet dive! Why do they not allow recreational or cave diving for visitors though?

      Unfortunately, the cave is not really suitable for open-access and/or large numbers of divers for a variety of reasons, including the fragile nature of the cave and potential geological instability (recent collapses on the line), high flow and small passage that would present difficulties for multiple teams (entering-exiting), concerns about an endemic species found in the system, and other management considerations.
