Very useful video. Thanks a lot. I didnt know that the air from Biosafety cabinet was just returned back into the room. It makes sense but I figured there was some exhaust leading to the outside of the building. The fume hood does take the gas outside? Isn't that also a bad thing potentially?

Heh. now your getting it. Just like smoke stacks they just dilute the gas with more air meaning: PUMP IT OUT! Many do have carbon filters, or even water treatment catcher systems, but they are a ton of money I'd assume. Many people you see on RUclips though just have a PVC fan that is corrosion resistant pumping anything to the outside like every industrial system with air, and water pollutants. Although, industrial systems do have many, and more advanced filter systems now a days, but that is depending on many variables.
