What kinda 320 and 600 sanding pads do you use ? Trying to sand 6061 aluminum edges to match after flap disc reduction of welds. I tried 120 to 240. Didn’t give me good results. Nice video. Following now
Got a couple of questions...1. What rpms are you sanding at? 2. Is when you put your pad flat on the metal.....how are you keeping it from walking away in a circular pattern? I have had that happen to me before
Hello! I’m relieved to see I’m not the only one struggling with the blending. I’ve searched through here, IG and the website. If anyone has found more on the speed sanding can you please point me to it? Also that “mini makita” has me a little obsessed. It looks smaller (and hopefully lighter weight) than mine and the other models I’ve seen online.
I just got into sanding I love it hard work but I love it. Trying to figure out how to speed sand now I know. I'll apply what I learned here Sunday! Thank you sir
What kind of makita is that? It looks lightweight and very agile for speed sanding....I'm using my bigger polisher and its kind of bulky in comparison to that tool you use.
Awesome work, what machine is that? Been looking for something better than the big variable speed buffer to sand....also if you get some time can you make a video of getting out striping aka burn marks on aluminum and/or stainless
Follow me on Instagram at king of bling originals I have the model number posted there I will try to make a video on burning thanks for the love and support
I have some heavily pitted and salt damaged wheels on my semi truck. It's super hard to get all the pits out. I've used a grinder, polisher, and random orbital to sand and I can never get all the pits. Any tips or tricks?
Hey best to I can give is dont get frustrated trying to remove every pit as you can not. I have seen a pic of your wheels on Instagram. I have done many wheels like yours and you will never get those Mark's out. You can make them shine but you will see it through your shine. Unfortunately the wheels are too far gone
Just started tryin to sand/polish some aluminum plates and, for the life of me, I can’t get rid of the cloudiness even when progressing from 240 to 3000 grit and then using something like mothers mag. I know I’m doing something wrong but I just can’t get it. Guess I just need more than a few days worth of practice
@@koboriginals7085 Yeah, thru a buncha trials, that's the same conclusion I've come to actually. I thought I could do it like that Skills & Trade guy on RUclips who makes it look so easy and doable with just sand paper. But he must be some wizard or something cause everyone else is using cutting and buffing compounds with wheels. Now I just need to get those wheels and rouge I suppose. Thank you for the info and video though!
How do you hold a rotary flat on a curved surface without it spinning it straight off the metal?? Also why is the replay speed sped up ?? I’ve been trying to learn this for 12 months and my rotary with an interface pad on it never leaves a finish like that
King Bling will do. Hey what’s the backing plate you are using? Mine is pretty solid and doesn’t seem to conform to to roundness of the tank like yours
By far one of the best and my personal favorite process to polish aluminum 👍🏼
I just started a new service of my company of polishing, and I appreciate the tips in your videos amd watch you're videos on Facebook!
YES !!!! it's in this direction that I do my sanding work and it changes absolutely everything !!!
Awsome!!! Amazing how little tweeks can change everything !

Question ? What grit best to use to get paint off of the pontoon first. Previous owner painted them
Hope much pressure do you add while you're doing each stage
Nice! Straight to the point. Great job man.

I am going to make a video on details of speed sanding

Great work
Hi do you have the model number of the mini makita ???? thanks .....keep the vids coming
Hey I am guessing this is followed up with a multi stage polishing??
Eh howzit! I follow your steps. It came out mirror shiny but you can see the sand marks scratches. How do you get it off or can I even get it off?
How many rpm does your sander run?
Huge help!! Thank you so much!!
On a pontoon how does this work….thanks🎉
Are you removing any pits?
Do you follow up with a dual action sander or do you cut it out like that
I swear I’m going to meet you one day in person 💪🏽 I’ve started my own business and staying busy off of watching you and one other guy
you sir are a G
I’d like to sand and shine my electric frypan. How can I do this on an item with tight curves and 90-degree angles?
Thanks.
Great video tons of help
Awesome thank you
Im a beginner polisher, which machine can I used for sanding dual action or rotary?
Show us how you do mirror on stainless
How can I get a scratch out of aluminum pontoon
What grits are u using and type of sand paper
Have u done a video of polishing diamond plate
It's in the works . Stay tuned
What speed on the sander
Your first step which you call a cut. What kind of sandpaper are you using, 1000 grade?
Just like and subscribed, please put up some more videos 👍
So if I need to remove heavy defects I would do the same cut and smooth process but with lower grit correct?
Yes you can pick your grits accordingly. I would advise if you go down to a 220 or 120 that you cut and smoth those grits our really well with 320.
King Bling 👍🏽 thank you

Ok, thanks man. I'll keep practicing and see what I can do. Keep make videos they are a big help.
I want to do this to my pontoon boat but just worry about how thing those aluminum pontoons may be......

Your first problem is trying to sand aluminum then cut it with mothers! You need to buy something more advanced
Mothers is not the best polish for aluminum to begin with. You should be using rouge bars with cutting wheels if your sanding and polishing

I’ve been trying to learn this for 12 months and my rotary with an interface pad on it never leaves a finish like that
How about how to finish rough edges on cut aluminum?
How dangerous is the aluminum dust from sanding?
Not a bad thing for people who do it like a few times, but if this is your profession you need to have respirators and all that ppe
Were do u get your backing pad from
Hey I get them from www.sinistershineshop.com
What rpm
This machine is max 2200 rpm
Great tips, but could've gone without the background music as it was hard to hear everything
What is the model number of the Makita buffer?
Guessing 320 is NOT coarse enough for some jobs....especially if you have scratches you need to sand out. Thinking 180 first for those eh?
Good job not telling us what kind of sand paper to cut with 😂
Thanks so much. I use DA. With this info I’ll try high speed. 🤘
Awsome!!!! Let us know how it go's !!!!
King Bling 🤘

@@JP-og2wt you need whats called a interface pad. Its a foam pad with hook and loop on it.
You don't use a da king of being after the rotary
