- Absolute gut wrenching. It hurts when we have to put a video like this together... A nasty wreck sent Billy to the hospital here at Georgetown Speedway. Thankfully (as you will see at the end) he is okay and all of the track crews and EMTs were on top of it and made sure he was taken care of right away.
Thank you to everyone who helped, who reached out and who prayed. He will have a long road to recovery.

Not much they can do for him in the hospital. Just move as little as possible and no lifting anything heavier than a water bottle.
No reason to keep him, there is nothing else can be done once he gets a back brace. I was in a back brace for 9 months but released after a day when I fractured my lower back
cracker barrell is oneof my favrate places to go when im on vacation

I want to say I’m glad that he’s OK. It happened right in front of us and I just ended up with my heart in my throat for both he and HJ not glad it happened but I’m glad he’s walking around. It could’ve been a whole lot worse I watch you him and Mike every week or a couple times a week on here and after watching so long you feel like family, so I really hope he’s doing well I know it’s gonna be a slow recovery, but at least he’s going to recover sending love and prayers your way

Mandee, Thank you for doing a fine job on what understandably must have been a very tough video to put together. You presented everything fairly and concisely and kept us in the loop as best as you could. We, as viewers and fans, appreciate all you do for us through the good and the bad. This was a "bad" however it could have been worse as thankfully all safety measures seemed to do their job. I felt strange clicking the "like" button as I did not "like" this vlog but I will consider it a thumbs-up to Billy for his recovery. So very glad he isn't hurt badly...

Thank God Billy is ok….The car can be replaced but life can be gone in a blink of an eye. Even with the best of equipment, unexplainable things sometimes happen inside those cockpits which defy our understanding. Fractured vertebrae are slow to heal so I hope Billy will take it easy and allow them to heal before hitting a gym to build his strength back. As always, your videos are number 1.

Billy's car was worse condition after the wreck than your video could show, but built strong enough. I'll just thank GOD for Billy's well being and hope he returns to racing in great shape. 🙏

Hey Mandee, Keith and I are praying for a fast recovery for Billy II, Keith and Keith B. were looking forward to meeting and hanging out with Billy for the Cajun Swing, understandably that may not happen now, but his healing is way more important than that. I know it was hard as a Sister to not know what’s going on when he is at the hospital and Mike (Hubby) is still at the track! It was a relief for Keith and I to see him walk back to his hotel room holding up his drivers suit! And you can finally breath!

Jesus. I'm sorry to see that but so thankful it wasn't worse. Whoever was driving that white car that's parked in front of Billy should count they're lucky blessings that Dirt mandated that additional vertical bar in front of the rear main cage hoop cause at 19:52ish you can see the hit it took probably stoping something from intruding the cockpit.
I'm glad Billy is okay, he needs to go to his family Dr. and get a second opinion. 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

I’m so glad Billy is ok. That’s why you spend all that it takes on safety. I’m not sure if that was a bicknell or what but it did a fantastic job keeping him safe. Car parts are easy to replace

what happened to me: on pain meds for a few weeks, ran out of pain meds, bought pain meds of the street, they stopped making the pain meds, started buying heroin.... which eventually lead to a needle. Dont do drugs kids. Legal or illegal, they're all still drugs.

Was watching live he was put in the wall by I wanna say well better not because I didn't see if someone hit him or he just lost it on the freaking straight away. But yes I've watched it three times well this makes 4 and I just want to know what actually made the other car hook right on a freaking straight away 😳 Mande once again praying for Billy to get better and glad he has a chance for recovery. Get well soon take it easy it's your back and it'll be sore and longer than a couple weeks but the safety equipment did it's job but now you might want to get a seat molded to you
Randy lajoy has the seat you need and is custom fitted for your body and is a full containment system cost more than the cookie cutter seats but what kind of price are you willing to put on your health nobody wants to see you get hurt

Thank GOD he is not seriously hurt fractured vertebrae is better than disc damage or compound fractures my Dad had a fractured vertebrae when he was young it never bothered him and a good friend of mine had the same I had a disc protrusion and have permanent nerve damage because of the long wait for the surgery Billy JR is young and tough and I hope he will be fine in a couple of months I now have stainless bolts and rods holding together C 3AND4 SENDING PRAYERS FOR YOU ALL GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND PRAYING FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY AND ABSOLUTELY NO PERMANENT DAMAGE,🙏🙏🙏🙏
Best back doctor. Dr Kevin Pauza in Plano Texas. You need a second opinion he is your man. If he worked on Tiger Woods he can work on Billy. I had him work on me and a great results.

Sweetheart please don't ever stop apologizing for showing emotions and tears for the love you have for your brother. I'm so thankful that his injuries weren't worse but he's definitely going to be on a long road to recovery. Make sure he LISTENS TO ALL DOCTOR'S ORDERS because if he doesn't, he could be in much worse shape. Billy don't rush your recovery. Us fans will miss you on the track but we want you to be 💯 million percent healed whenever the doctor says you can race again. So glad Billy is OK scary oh next time ya'll stay in Rehoboth there is a wawa within .5 miles of the hotel the downside is you have to go the backroad down munchie branch to the light by walgreens to get back to the hotel or else you'll have to go down make a u-turn past the hampton inn which is a huge pain in the @!# LOL! hope your doing well Billy Happy Holidays from my family to yours!!!!🤗🥰
Prayers for proper healing. Girlfriend you need to get a dart gun a gallon of milk with fractures can pop a disc. I have 4 titanium screws bolts in my back. Take his man card away for 2-3 weeks. Sending you love, hugs & patience men are babies being sick or hurt. 😂😂😂😂🙏🏻❤️✌🏻

Prayers for your brother and the whole Pauch family. Make sure he is seeing by a good neurosurgeon. I fractured vertebrae at work. They told me it was pulled muscles. Went around in pain gorb3 months so I got a referral to see Dr Craig Johnson in Reading Pa. He is retired now. He was the best of the best. I had a fractured vertebrae at C4,5 and 6. Had surgery. I'm a mess since then. I got sent back to work but not in my nursing job. I blew apart the surgery I had done. They knew my limits. They didn't care. I was no longer a nurse so screw you. I sued them and won. I tried going back to work and I got hit about a few blocks from home. A guy blew a stop sign and nailed me right behind the passenger side. My labrador was with me and he hit the back seat. He was OK. I wasn't I hurt both wrists requiring surgery. About 4 years ago we got rear ended and my spine felt like a accordion opening and closing. The pain is bad. Spinal injuries are bad. Please make sure Billy takes care and listens to the Dr. If he says no more racing then he needs to listen. We are grateful Mike did well and avoided that crash. He didn't win but that's OK. He is a consistent driver and liked by the fans. Best of luck next year to both drivers. Hope Billy heals quick, that's painful, I know from experience. Good to see he is in good spirits too. He and I have the same kind of humor even when in pain. lol, my last operation they wheel me into the OR and as they move me to the operating table I look over at another table and see this long white bag stretched out on the table and I said "I see you have the body bag ready" and everyone busted out laughing even the two doctors who were about to work on me. The bag was actually for equipment that they were using in my operation. I knew it, but I couldn't resist 🤣

I've watched these type of race cars for years . The way they are designed and built they can't help it but wreck , they are so unstable , Even on a super smooth race track they do the same things . The driver don't hardly have any control at all of the car . Why is that ! I watch them at Port Royal in Pa. and they doing the same thing jumping and hopping all over the track , and Port Royal is about as smooth as one can get !!!!!!!!!!!!
So happy to hear that he was released the same night and that he is going to be okay. Glad it's the end of the season so hopefully he does not feel any pressure to get back racing too soon.

Glad he's on the mend. Please please please make sure he takes it slow and doesn't rush back. I know he''' want to but neck and back injuries are tough and if not managed correctly can cause a lifetime of pain. Signed, A guy who rushed a back injury.

Thoughts and prayers to Billy. Personally have had the same injury. Flush those pain meds down the toilet. Ibuprofen and Tylenol mix them up not all of one or the other. Don't try to be a hero.

Would you please show more content from the grandstand or pit area of the races. You do not get a good view of what happens on the racetrack from inside the car.
