A very practical question: how do you UNTIGHTEN the nut on the cutter block as it arrives from the factory???? This video makes it seem like it's a simple hand tight operation.

Tried doing the setup of the mortising table as shown in the video. I received a different size mounting bolt that holds the attachment considerable farther from the side of the A3-31. As such, the adjustment screw for leveling the attachment won't extend far enough to even contact the side panel of the jointer/planer. Anybody else come across this issue?

I finally received my Hammer A3-31 two days ago after a 9 month wait. I've installed and squared the fence which was pretty easy, although your instructions are unclear and your video makes it appear that it arrives that way. As part of my purchase, I bought the additional extension table. Is that only usable in jointer mode, or will it attach to the planer mode outfeed as well? It appears there are the same washer divots there as for the outfeed to the jointer table. The ordered digital handwheel, which is actually analog, arrived, but the aluminum wheel into which it fits has been backordered. The wheel came with no installation instructions at all--the only reference I can find anywhere is on your UK site which has a nice video. There seems to be some discrepancy as to whether this machine should have a 20 amp or a 30 amp breaker. The supplied power cord is the length of my forearm, and I'm short. Is there some reason why you couldn't have supplied a cord that is long enough to actually plug into something other than an extension cord? My power outlet is next to the machine, which lives in a basement--floor outlets in basements are very bad ideas, or so my electrician has told me. It's a beautiful machine to look at. I've used one elsewhere and loved it. So far, sales and set up have been very much lacking.

What is the maximum lumber length that you can safely joint without the extension table?
