I made a stupid decision and got my horse killed, reloaded my last save, I was like 10 missions behind where I was previously, all because I wanted to keep the same Horse, (Ik I can get the same breed but I wanted THE horse)

About an hour in, that bit Michael brought up about the Battle Royale games and how people react to new ones, 100% agree. I don't play them at all, but I've never understood why people freak out every there's a similar style of game that comes out. That's how it's Always been.
Fallout 76 doesn't have NPCs because the engine can't handle multiple players and NPCs at the same time. Bethesda uses an engine based on one that's 20 years old, just because they're used to it. But the engine is too limited for modern games. Even for Skyrim, they had to cut out a lot of the civil war content because the engine couldn't handle mass NPC battles. And that was 7 years ago. Their next game is going to flop if they don't get a new engine.

See, it's not that I hate Battle Royale as a game mode, it's seeing it copied for being successful and thus being the main selling point of a game and the only reason people would buy/play it. After PUBG Fortnite took off once it had a Battle Royale mode, and all I hear about the new Call of Duty, from people who normally don't touch the series, is specifically about its version of the mode. I'd rather see innovation than imitation, but I suppose when it comes to CoD it's really no surprise they'd be copying something since that series is the opposite of innovative.
Some of the E3 stuff is over-scripted, but I disagree that it shouldn't be a theatrical experience. Otherwise, what's the point of E3? Studios could just as easily post a list of all the games being developed. E3 exists to build hype, and for some games you do that by showing people play, and for others you add a creative accompaniment, like the music before the Last of Us. I know you guys aren't super attached to that game, but Michael, think of the way the Zelda theme makes you feel, or Gavin, your emotions tied to the Halo theme. If Marty O'Donnell came out with an electric guitar and started shredding, that would be an amazing intro for new Halo stuff. The pan flute stuff was a bit weird considering it was a white dude in a rice hat with no known connection to the game, but I'll stand by Gustavo Santaolalla playing that banjo in the wedding tent until I die.

Battle Royale is King of the Hill with some tweaks. Basically the better version of King of the Hill. Or OLTL modes in some late 90s early 2000s shooters. It’s not going anywhere. It’s not a fad. It’s a positive evolution.

The framerate lock in 76 is due to Bethesda's game engine. The physics are tied to the framerate of the game, which basically means if you have a higher framerate than 60fps the physics in game will actually speed up. That means that the game will never be able to go over 60 unless the engine is completely redesigned which will never happen.

Once I had got to the epilogue I rather quickly went to a stable to look at horses because I hated John's horse, as I have the Special Edition, I got the Thoroughbred and named it Arthur. I played through about 80% of the Epilogue, when I heard John referring to the horse as a female,. I said 'Well Shit' aloud, as I have this Horse in memory of Arthur, but it is the wrong sex. After finishing the Epilogue I went to buy a new Arabian from the Blackwater Stables (I had the black one from Saint Denis earlier in my playthrough, and I saw it was a smaller Horse, then I saw it was female and assumed a Male one would be taller and more well built), and there I saw a pretty, short little Arabian Horse, bought it, and named it Susan, in memory of Mrs Susan Grimshaw; and after about 4 hours, I realised that my new horse, had a penis. So I quickly head off to the nearest stable to rename Arthur to Susan, and Susan to Arthur. Always look at the sex of your horse before you name them...
