I am so envious of so much blooming in your garden. Though I am a zone 8b it will be another month before I see anything like this. It is a treat to get to view your garden. Obviously everything is appreciating your gardening efforts. I am sure all the visitors were grateful you opened your garden for them to enjoy. 😃
Awe yours will come, that is weird for being in the same zone. Plus I plant to make sure each season something is blooming. Like my hellebore, candytuft, plumbago, forsythia, daffodils, plus my wallflower and bachelor buttons stay around all season. I did in March planted some violas and pansies while the other early spring flowers come through.
@@inspiringgardenkorner Yes, I have most of those flowers but we can get snow up until the last of May and many times they are covered or delayed in blooming by our cold capricious Springs. Our last snow was last weekend and we got a plant smashing 6 inches. As you know garden zones only tell you what the average low temperature in winter is, not the growing season or the first and last frost date, so many have a great misunderstanding of what a garden zone really tells us. Seattle is in the same garden zone as Dallas Tx and the difference in what is grown is quite dramatic. I am always trying to help folks understand that on my channel as I get questions like, when can I plant this plant, I am in zone (put the number here), and of course I can't tell them. There are tons of folks in lower zones across the country than I and they can plant out much, much sooner. I do have to laugh at those Pinterest PINS that have the caption "what to plant in Zone 8 in May", since it dramatically varies by location. 😉Thankfully my pansies and violas did bounce back and look pretty this week. Our average last frost date is the 3rd weekend in May and if we plant tenders out before that we are taking a BIG gamble. Last year we had snow on Memorial Day weekend.
Your garden is such an inspiration! I would have loved to walk through. Your excitement was showing through your smile at hosting all of those visitors.Well done!
Afternoon Nino & Lo thanks so much. I so love gardening and the joy it brings. So happy that others enjoyed it also. Thanks for your support and taking this journey with me

A magnificent garden. I enjoyed the tour although seeing it in person is sweeter. I even saw my friend and sister at 38:52 Lol! My yard needs major work. Your selection of plants and how you organized them in different beds and paths is so inspiring and colorful. Thank you.

Hello your channel popped up on my RUclips feed today and I'm so glad it did. Uou have a beautiful garden and such a gift. I am enjoying the tour and I've joined your garden family. Thank you so much for sharing it and I'll see you in the garden🤗
Afternoon thanks you so much for your support and taking this journey with me. I so love that other gardeners or even non gardeners are enjoying my content
How you got those roses on the arbor to be so prolific in one year is beyond me. That is just stunning. You have so many plants thriving that I can not seem to grow (especially Artemisia), I am quite jealous. WELL DONE. Your gardens are amazing!
Thanks so much Susan I followed the instructions that Heirloom had stated to do. I also feed them this year with fish emulsion fertilizer. The artemisia just seem to love that area. Last year cause I didn’t prune them was literally a good 18 inches out from the bed. Thanks for your support and taking this journey with me
GM Toya and welcome so glad you found my channel. I’m all about inspiring and providing ideas to create beautiful spaces in your gardens. Thank you for your support and taking this journey with me
Evening Larry you made my day. I was so worried that I did do something right. They are one of my many favorite shrubs and the winter interest they provide. Thank as always for your support and taking this journey with me

I’ll keep folks posted via my community board. Thanks for your support and taking this journey with me
So glad I was able to view your beautiful garden in person! Jade and I kept saying how much we admired all of your layers. The Eden Climbing rose really stood out for me! I truly enjoyed it all! We should meet up at Grower's Outlet or Family Tree Garden Center. That would be fun!
Hi Brandi you don’t have to ask me twice about going to either one of those lol I was o glad you and Jade was able to come and support me and Keep Smyrna Beautiful!!

Thank you Janice I really appreciate you taking the time to view my garden. KSB is such a wonderful group that I was truly honored they chose our garden.
Stunning garden! How many years did it take for you to have such a lush garden? I hope to someday achieve such a beautiful area and to have such great vision to make it so.
GM Laura thanks so much, this has been almost 8 year journey. It has been so much fun and a learning experience. I’ve had times of successes and times where I had to start over. One thing gardening has taught me is patience. I either start seeds, I recuse plants from the clearance section and I propagate a lot of my hydrangeas and roses to be cost efficient. Thanks for your support and taking this journey with me
New Subbie here, Hi!👋 Your garden is gorgeous. So nice that the city of Smyrna chose your garden for the tour. I live in Jonesboro and I don’t think anything like that here. I was curious to know if your dusty millers grow as perennials for you, or do you plant them annually. I had some and they lived for many years but last winter was brutal and they didn’t make it. I’ve been reluctant to try again. Seeing yours makes me want to plant some again. 😊So beautiful !! 🌹
Evening Shawn thank you. I cut mine back through the seasons and yes they came back plus I added some. You’re right depending on how cold it gets it can damage or kill them. The ones that had a little damage I cut that off and they seemed to bounce back. Also welcome and thank you for your support and taking this journey with me

The Knockout roses outside of your vegetable garden are they the Orange Glow or the coral variety? They are gorgeous and your garden is absolutely stunning 😍
That was absolutely beautiful. Did you say that you grew the Kiss Me Over the Fence plant by seed? Ordered seeds today. Do you have any of your Hydrangeas in full sun?
Evening no on the kiss me over the fence. I garden friend gave me a little patch of hers and it’s been happy ever since in that location. Plus it is a perennial and comes back every year. I will cut it back in mid July and I will get another flush through November. Yes I have hydrangeas in full sun ( white weddings, quick fires, mini mauvettes, limelight and my Bobos)
