@tommccawley if ur leaning on one leg forward u have balance therfore its very dificult to do the sweep u wuld have to use brute strength to make them fall wen an opponent stand with square feet and u pull their gi their balance is totaly gone and they will fall easily and it will feel effortless....however to really understand the concept of squre feet opposed to the "weakened side" is best explained in action my sensei did the move on me both ways and i understood it
What are babbling on about? What, a good judoka won't move his freaking foot? It doesn't matter where his foot goes as long as he moves it. Tori's foot is in position, so you come in for the harai regardless.
Classic judo combination and very, very effective. Well done!
I love this combo! been using it for years there is so many but I love the way this feels and harai goshi is probably my favorite throw!
my go to combo. if done right IPPON!!
This movement can also enable an Uchi mata or Hane goshi.
Best Harai-Goshi ever
thanks

Recomiendo un Hane goshi... o mismo un eri seoi otoshi con el pie por dentro, como si fuera un morote seoi nage de los antiguos
If he doesn't take his foot away, then you just take the ko ouchi.
why the hell not?
@doeiffeo haha just you :P
You also can throw him without moving his feet..but this is nice to :p
