I've seen this man's face for years on thousands of memes, but never knew the story behind it all until now. With that said, the meme face always reminded me of some guy that you would you see in New York city hustling on a corner. Someone who is sharp, witty and will gladly sell you something for a price, whether it be advice or a gold chain.

What if in the future wen we have kids and we will tell them stories about wen you could shake hands and can hug people and their reaction will be like "NO WAY" mum is it true that b4 we could shake hands and not die?
He sounded a little disappointed, “I didn’t go to university to become a meme, I went to university to become a story teller and tell stories and... it is what it is...” and tries to flip it to a positive like, “I mean it makes people happy right? So... whatever...”
I’d argue that memes, his in particular, are all about telling a story with a single or a few expressions... so it arguably makes you one of the best storytellers because then the meme can be used to convey so many different messages from that expression.
I think people tend to not say the full sentence, they skip the end. It's not just "I went to X to become Y", it's "I went to X to become Y and make money out of it". And nothing wrong with that, far from it. We all want it. The problem is that the whole "meme" thing almost never translates into anything else, people share the meme but nobody really went to watch his series or anything, his numbers were still sort of low.
And that must be somewhat heartbreaking right? You see your face everywhere as you would if you were famous, but nobody is really watching what you've created.

In his case he actually had it kind of easy. There's a chinese woman who ended up not being able to get a job because of her meme.
But he doesn’t want to be like a “one hit wonder” with just one thing he did being the main and only thing people are interested in when it comes to his creativity. He wants to move on and create other characters and stories which he is doing. (He just didn’t season 2 of “enterprice” on BBC 3) which he wrote.

Yeah I respect him for doing what he wants, but I don't think its terribly wise though.When you have a big hit, you should milk it a bit because the fame lets you do other things afterwards. I think he could have been as big as The Office was for Ricky Gervais.

What I meant is that he doesn't feel like he needs to resort to bringing it back up again because he's got newer material to work with that's getting him more bank.
@@MajatekYT You can't know that its getting him "more bank". He hasn't tried really committing to that character on a mass market. He gave up before he could know how big it could get. Normally, if something goes viral, the artist rides the wave and makes exponentially more money. I guarantee you he isn't making that much compared to someone like Ricky Gervais because he doesn't have any international hits except for the meme.
