Almost a year later and we still haven’t got Sonic and Tails’ reaction to the second part and what happens with Sterling and Amy (as well as Sonic) lol (not saying I’m mad that we don’t have a second part, I’m just saying this cuz I thought it was funny).
You know I feel like sonic actually does like Amy but he dosen’t want to sacrifice his freedom for her because in his eyes, being together with Amy would mean the end of his hero gig and no more stopping egg man and stuff and he had to focus on marrying couple stuff so he’s tries to avoid Amy until he’s ready to ask her out
My theory is that this isn't the same timeline as Sonic Colors, and is actually a parallel universe. Or as stuff like this in the Sonic universe is called, an alternate zone. It follows Sonic Colors exactly the same way, except for a few differences. Metal Sonic is brought into action to control the operation, ghost whisps exists, and Tails translator works well enough for anyone such as Sonic to read what the whisps are saying. In short, both Colors and Ultimate are canon, but both stories takes place in separate yet similar timelines.
This should take place after Sonic Colors. If you notice, Tails' translator is working perfectly fine, while in the game it doesn't work properly until the end.
