- Hey everyone, I wanted to post a walkthrough on the new boat, it's a 2024 34vh Freeman! She is everything I have dreamed of, if you would have asked me 5 years ago when I started my business, if I would ever owned a boat like this, I would have thought you were crazy! But hard work and dedication always win! So here she is!
Comment below on what you would like to see going forward on this vessel!

Amazing Boat 🤩
Nice boat! Congrats!
Thank you, it’s a dream come true
Thanks for turning on the comments! Love those Mercs! I’m running quad Suzi 300s for now… Run some jackplates on that boat… you will be amazed by the changes you can make to fuel efficiency and speed #s
Lonestar Marine makes an excellent drum windlass - run one on one of my 23 cats… probably put on on my big boat next…
Nice boat Freeman makes a nice boat. Smooth riding I hear.
Amazing difference
goals
Would definitely prefer all electronic parts behind a door or even some kind of cover!
My first thought was 450 xtos but hope the Mercs work for you.
In your anchor locker, you should put a teak grated flooring in there so your rope or chain can drip dry and not just hit the bottom inside of your boat. I’ll save your chain and rope and you can wash it out.
Cool.
Bro there's a ton going on in that console....a learning curve.
Big time.
This video also serves as notice 2024 trip pricing is going up lol but u get a sweet ride and a lot of fun I’m sure
Hey captain, what are some of your fuel numbers and top speed on the new v10's? Just really curious, im building a 31 Ameracat now and looking at the 350 or 400's. Awesome boat brother! Tightlines and stay safe out there
what are you thoughts on the optimus steering system? are you using it for your autopliot? and for the spot locking (didn't see a trolling motor.)? Went with it my boat along with the merc repower - no regrets!
Awesome rig - congratulations and good luck - Capt. Bob, Gulf Bound Charters. Ft Myers, Beach
I don’t have use spot lock, really bad for your lowers, also people get fishing line stuck in the props way to much. Also I wouldn’t put a trolling motor on an offshore boat yes they are nice but they can’t hold in rough seas. An anchor will always work…
Optimus steering has been great only have 50 hours on the engines
nice boat congrats! what kind of economy are you getting with the mercs when you are fully loaded?
44 mph I’m getting 1.25-1.3 , 6-8 guys and 250lb of ice and transom livewell full
thats impressive man. tight lines ill see you around capri@@rdfish
Sweet ride my man! You can probably have that vessel for a year or two and not lose much money, or any!
I believe a 4 year old 34 freeman is selling for more than what I paid for mine. I don’t think I’ll ever lose money on this boat
@@rdfish Damn! That’s awesome! Gotta be a comforting feeling for sure and money well spent!
@@terrybrennan2534supply and demand, the wait is 3-4 years and they aren’t making a 34 anymore
You would have to put a deposit down now for a new one in 3 year or longer
@@AW-yv9sq correct!
Congrats ! What a beautiful boat. The only thing I m curious to see is how these engines will hold up. I just don’t trust these mercs
340 hours on them already no problems
Honestly as a Yamaha enthusiasm bro currently mercury took over they game changer... after those mercury you're going see for yourself. .am speaking factual fact..still gonna prefer Yamaha 2/4 stroke motor but mercury have dominated
Congratulations she's beautiful whats the price of that set up round about..
Half a million…
Living in N Palm Beach, do a lot of fishing out of Port of Palm & Jupiter, & when not fishing & the ladies are around, Peanut Island, but with the above said, that is a specked-out fishing boat nice amount of room for when things get dicey & the bite is good, where Freeman loses my interest, I have teenage girls & adult woman on board, & being that there is no (HEAD) on that size which I do like, kills the deal. Now their upsized mods have heads, 42LR's & 47's so that pushes me to the 1.3mil 42LR & build wait time.
You can put a head on this boat but I didn’t put it cuz I charter fish with it and don’t really the bathroom like you think you would… also have to worry about cleaning it out and they always have problems
If I put a HEAVY DUTY Hitch on my Suzuki, think I can get that up the ramp after a day of fishing? LOL
Just curious as why you would choose this over a Grady White Canyon 336? Thanks
Speed, storage, more freeboard, more stability in rough seas, and better ride in my opinion
@@rdfish I haven’t been on the 34, although I’ve been on a 44 freeman, it was a nice boat for sure, but I can’t see the 34 handling better than the 336 being a narrower boat and a lighter boat. I saw the speed comparison’s and the freeman definitely had the Grady beat. The other stuff I can comment on, but normally a wider beam means more fishing area.
@@joshuaarvin575 well that’s the thing , the cats that are narrower don’t ride has good. Freeman is wider that is perfectly balanced that can achieve a better ride when in seas where most monos would be getting a beating. I had a 31T Cape Horn before. That boat doesn’t even come close to the freeman
One question are these boats and their fishermen to make a living working from fishing? Or these boats and their fishermen are only for recreational purposes, because where I'm from these boats are a luxury only for recreation
Sweet sled. Are the storage boxes dry?
Correct! And they are all insulated to hold ice!
@@rdfish still trying to figure out my new contender 25 bay recently delivered.... that's perhaps next on the list... after kids college.
@@jimbobakabrutus1230 you’ll never want to ride in a monohull again, there’s that much difference! I love it
@@rdfish I'm a believer. I used to run a regulator 26 before they became all fluffy and shit. Then I had a baby sold that and started fishing with a bro that had a full displacement cat called a glacier Bay. They're slow and turn outward. If you could get beyond that, it was the smoothest 26 on the market at the time.
@@jimbobakabrutus1230 this is where freeman really perfected that, they went wider and add steps in the hull for the performance of the boat. You have to sea trial to truly understand… or you can always book a charter with me and you get best of both worlds!
how did you get 1.5M ot buy this being your age i dont understand what your doing and what I'm not doing in life
I would never switch from Yamaha
I didn’t want to, Yamaha doesn’t make the right motors for the 34, 450s xto Yamaha are to heavy and 300s are underpowering it
Those 300s are the workhorse of the industry. I have a friend with a Freeman with quad Mercs Let’s just say it takes away from the experience of owning a boat and wanting to go fishing whenever you want.@@rdfish
Is there a head on the boat?
Negative, i didnt want one!
@RoBear-bv8ht oh well!
Half a mil and u gotta shit in a bucket ...definitely rather a sportfish
@@Pitoling186 that’s how we do it!
Way over priced and no way to cook or a cabin to sleep either. Your wife will not be happy and make your life he'll. 😅😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅
Where's the head?
I opted without one, a 5 gal bucket works phenomenal
I'm sure your wife would enjoy the 5-gallon bucket with your fishing pals standing around. Nice boat.
@@johnbillington7891 she doesn’t go fishing with me on charters!
The regular Freemans are UGLY, but THAT boat is THE WORST. Looks like a bathtub.
what do for a toilet?
youre smoking crack brother
I think she's a beauty. Beauty is objective but.... now let's discuss function. That's a beautifully functional rig too😂
It’s the baddest thing in cc by far. A lot of people agree. Those that don’t are getting passed out or in :) crazy money but the track record doesn’t lie. It’s a fishing machine and they look sick on the water….a bit goofy on a trailer I won’t lie though.
@@AW-yv9sq LMAO!! "The baddest thing in cc" Put the crack pipe down. Only Freeman fan boys like them. The rest of the boating community laughs when they see one on the water. No head, no cabin, no AC, no anchor, no Seakeeper, terrible fit and finish. I've seen better looking barges. Yet they're priced like a Mercedes. You can have it there are MUCH better boats on the market. And before you tell me I can't afford one just STFU. I could have one for every day of the MONTH if I wanted one. AND if I did have one I'd take it out to 1200ft and pull the plug.
