That’s insane value with those pools , gym and sauna. As you said it’s a small room but fine you. A 2 bed version of that would be perfect for me and my mrs in case of visitors. Cheers for sharing
Very pleased I have subscribed to your channel Welsh Wyn. I do find your videos a great inspiration to retiring in Thailand. I'm a 60 year old male who is married to my thai wife here in South Wales. Basically trying to cut my story short, looking at retiring when I become 67 to get my state pension. Stupidly never really put money into a pension in my younger years, I'm lucky I'm in a good paid job where I can bump up my pension pot. House is almost paid, after that's paid I feel building up my pension should get easier. Planning things ahead now, and like I say your videos do help. Can't imagine what the condo prices will be like in 6 years time.
I remember asking you about your condo before, now I you have shown again it’s fantastic and what a low price, well done! I’ve been here over twenty years and no way could I stay in Pattaya for example Soi Bhuakow, it’s ok for tourists !Wyn your location is great ,thanks for good video
I will be there in Arcadia on Aug 23rd until Sep 1st for an exploratory visit... would be great to catch up with you to get a local perspective. Cheers!
If you are using the new camera then it has great saturation and contrast compared to the washed out videos you did before. A great improvement. Shame about the price increase for new residents, I would have gone for something like that.
Man, I knew I signed up for a bit of a higher price on my condo because I thought it was a good idea to have an agent who knew what she was doing, but I didn't know it was quite that much more. Not to mention that it turned out my agent had no idea what landlord paperwork was needed for Visas after all. My condo is a little larger than yours and maybe a bit newer, but it is about the same otherwise. My advice to anyone else looking to move here, unlike many other countries I have moved to, it is really important to do a significant amount of research online before you come here. Really to get a handle on the prices and the various areas of Pattaya. I did a bit myself, but I certainly felt a bit lacking when I showed up myself. For instance, I allowed myself to be convinced that the main way to find a condo was through facebook market place, which does work, but it is the last way I would recommend to someone coming here now. I will be bouncing from condo to condo myself when my lease comes up due.
very nice place , and you have the pool and other stuff there, what do you do when your deal runs out there , do you get the same rate or do you have to pay more , or go some were else ?
thanks for sharing you got a cracking deal on your condo, if they raise the rent at the renewal will you stay or would you look to try somewhere different, i know it probably depends on the price, cheers
This is the price for at least one year contract. It is impossible for monthly based price. You have to pay at least 11~12k *at least* per month for Short term, 1-6 months, stay. Moreover, prices might look like very good but doesn't include the electricity and water unlike hotel prices everything included. Especially in Pattaya when considering the weather is hot and you need ac to be turned on a lot.
Hey mate just seen a few of your videos absolutely brilliant great content do you think we can meet up for a coffee I’ve just arrived in pattaya 3 weeks ago take care keep up the good work
For the price its good ,complex looks good allso ,,location is not the best ,,would u pay 12000.for it in future?? , good video thanks,,humble as always 😊
what's the internet situation there? Can you add 3BB or True, or do they only allow their internet. I stayed at Arcadia Beach and they did not allow outside internet companies.
145 pound a month! that is outstanding value especially with all the facilities and the pools 😃 and the place looks well kept . How much a year for service charge etc.
I've seen other condos on YT in Pattaya with gym, pools and similar facilities for $125 a month for long term rentals. It's also very strange that his block are now asking B10,000a month.
Of course everyone has different needs but for me this is too small. In contrast to the Thais and many tourists, I mostly live in my apartment in Pattaya. I don't go out that often, don't go to bars, etc. The Arcadia Beach Continental is of course not on the beach as the name would suggest, but perhaps after the poles have melted. Although the location is good, I like the corner around Theprasit Nightmarket and Ratanakorn Market. But you definitely need a scooter to get away from there, which of course entails additional costs that I can save if I live more centrally or closer to a Bahtbus route. The problem with the new condos is that they are being built smaller and smaller but are optimized and space-saving. I prefer the old condos, which are much more spacious but can have visual flaws.
No chance there still building it take 5 or 6 years yet thais are so slow building anything they should get westerners to build it .I was there 6 months ago and came back last month no progress still the same .
Ideal size for a single guy. It has communal areas which means you can use them if the room gets too claustrophobic. Also much cheaper on the air con. Nice one Wyn, dioch.
Thanks for that Wyn sharing your home! Just the ticket for Jomtien & Pattaya looks good & secure with a balcony which always adds space, anything bigger would be unnecessary & out of character with the lifestyle.....but not a cenhinen Bedr hat insight
Sorry to be pedantic, but it's pronounced T-Heppraya rather than THeppraya. T and H are not TH in Thai. I stayed around the corner from there in Dec/Jan and really like the area, even though I was too far from Theppraya Rd. Pretty much walked past Arcadia or Rage every day and often went to the Tops (and Siri Restaurant) next to Arcadia. It's on my list as potential long-term residence areas. The apartment is on the very small size .I stayed in apartments not far from where your staying and looked up at your apartments and thought to myself there small I would want something bigger living there full time .when I make the move to South Asia in a few years going for condos in the Philippines there alot bigger .your doing the right thing using your fan don't use the AC alot because my bill was 4500 baht for the electric for a month other reason not to stay long term in Thailand expensive.all the big restaurants chains are the same price as UK Europe and America like McDonald's burger king and start bucks also footwear I found in pattaya was expensive couldn't get a pair of trainers for less than 4000 baht that's the reason I'm trying the Philippines now Thailand to expensive to live there long term .rents are cheap but your condo is small and things are expensive there now .
