As an Afghan immigrant in Europe, this movie resonated differently amongst me and my family and other Afghans that saw it. Thank you Rajkumar Hirani and SRK for making such a powerful and heart warming movie about such a serious concept. I urge everyone go watch it at cinemas, for your own pleasure.

I watched Dunki yesterday and i can vouch for the Movie because it is filled with Loads of Entertainment and Emotions.. The hardships faced by Indians before, during and after the Donkey route of immigration is very well explained in the Movie.. on the whole is a very nice Family Entertainment movie with Knowledge and Nationalism..

Beautifully explained, I live in America and have heard so many horror stories about how people come illegally and sometimes they never reach. People don’t understand if you don’t have asylum and somehow you entered on visiting visa students visa or other way, life is very tough for those people without work permit and healthcare.

They face incredibly difficult journeys, including navigating through dense forests and enduring freezing nights in the desert, where temperatures can be around 4 degrees Celsius. Dunki is an outstanding movie so far .... What a subject line chosen by the director. The movie gives you goosebumps and a bunch of comedy scenes were performed so efficiently by each character. I live in New Jersey. All the maids and domestic workers here are from Gujarat, people who have entered the US illegally.. I often ask them why are they going through this struggle? Is’nt living in India a better option? Their answer always, always is “ India has no opportunity. We want a better life. We may struggle, but our children will have a better life.” These guys don’t necessarily use “Dunki” but come on tourist visas, and stay undercover doing odd jobs until “pardon” is granted.
I am mechanical engineer and im lucky atleast I got a job in india , working in the top 5th city with 5 lak per anum after family expenses and I didnt save any money, I came here on F1 for MS on full funding and I do part time job and save 5 laks after all my USA and family expenses back in India, India has no opportunities for more than 50% of people, even for educated engineering graduates !! im making more here on part time than India, Then guess average Indian with out high skilled degree who is making 1 lak per anum thats hell especially especial family depends on that income, I am sure comparing to that coming here on B2 staying under the rador making $2000(Vs $100 in India) a month is a luxury in comparison

Currently living here in USA (Ohio) for studies. I have meet lot of people who crossed borders from Mexico (donkey). Came in container or boat to borders . Mostly form Punjab , then other states (very few from other states as compared to Punjab). It’s danger and risky they said to me
I worked with these clients seeking asylum in the US. They never spoke about their hard journey. They also used to have huge tracking devices attached to their ankles to prevent them from leaving the State borders.

This concept is unique SRK and RH took that risk as a fan I was emotional. I know someone who told me how he came to the uk 😢😢😢😢 I was shocked. He was inside a freezer with blanket wrap all over his body he return from the death.
There's a 2022 punjabi movie called Aaja Mexico Chaliye which details this journey of illegal migration without too much bollywood masala. Was an eye opener for me. Haven't watched dunki yet but good that more people will watch it because of the star cast and become aware of this.
There is also a punjabi movie 'Aaja Mexico chliye ' where they also show how people spend in lacs to cross the Mexico wall to reach America.. The movie was an eye opener and the life threatening challenges faced by them made us emotional.. When I saw the movie I was silent for some time because I couldn't comprehend how this can be true but when I searched more about it on RUclips I saw interviews of many people who said the journey was worst than we thought...
Aaja Mexico Chaliye was greater than Dunki in terms of depicting the Dunki process. In Dunki, Hirani focused on the love story between SRK and Tapsee rather than paying attention to the real struggles related to the Dunki process.

I am mechanical engineer and im lucky atleast I got a job in india , working in the top 5th city with 5 lak per anum after family expenses and I didnt save any money, I came here on F1 for MS on full funding and I do part time job and save 5 laks after all my USA and family expenses back in India, India has no opportunities for more than 50% of people, even for educated engineering graduates !! im making more here on part time than India, Then guess average Indian with out high skilled degree who is making 1 lak per anum thats hell especially especial family depends on that income, I am sure comparing to that coming here on B2 staying under the rador making $2000(Vs $100 in India) a month is a luxury in comparison
