How have I lived 73 years and never learned this before? This is wonderful! You made that Tassel so quickly and perfectly. I have shopped for ready made tassels and had to settle for something less that I wanted (or do without). Your method looks like fun. Thank you for this wonderful video.

You learn something new everyday!😊. Embroidery floss comes in a rainbow of colours. You can double up for a fuller tassel or cut in half for a little one. You can add beads and mix and match colours as well. Have fun and thanks again for watching🙏

I was able to make a great little mini-tassel for a wood carving of a graduate for my graduating senior.
It was more difficult to work with a much-smaller version than yours (harder to hold and I had guess at the measurements), but my third try produced just what I wanted.

If that is not the coolest, cleverest, easiest way to make tassels on the planet! I can’t wait to use this exact method for a home project, but for now, I must modify the process a bit because I need to make tiny tassels for a dollhouse pillow. and therefore don’t need a whole skein for each one. Even with the mods, this will surely be a far better method than what I was going to do to wing it. Thank you so very much for this super tutorial!

I Really like the method you came up with for the thread that goes around the tassel, that collects the strands together. Genius!
I was making a tassel with crochet thread 10, so I didn't have the sleeves. I was still able to use your method pretty well without them. Although, trimming up the ends is where I ran into a small issue, so I just tied a piece of scrap thread just above where I wanted it to end, this way I still had a straight cut line. I tied the scrap thread tight enough to keep it all together but loose enough to easily be able to untie it if I had to, I just slipped it off once I was done cutting.
Thank you for sharing your ingenious method with us ❤
