In the first full-cast audio box set, Leela returns, still reeling from losing Romana in the Time War. Held captive and forced to fight on behalf of a corrupt Lord President, she hasn’t yet given up on her mission to save Gallifrey from both the Daleks... and Rassilon.
Joining Louise Jameson (reprising her role as Leela) are Ken Bones (as the General), Beth Chalmers (as Veklin), Chris Jarman (as Rasmus), Carolyn Pickles (as Ollistra) and Nicholas Briggs (as the voice of the Daleks).
Gallifrey: War Room 1 is now available to pre-order on collector’s edition CD (for just £24.99) or as a digital download (at just £19.99), exclusively from www.bigfinish.com.
Gallifrey is at war. At the heart of the Capitol, the War Room co-ordinates the fight against the Daleks.
Leela has been forced into service, alongside the General and his soldiers, taking orders from Cardinals Rasmus and Ollistra.
But this being Gallifrey, politics are never forgotten. Some serve Rassilon, some serve themselves, and some have their own cause. The Time War will test them all.
Producer Heather Challands said: “We heard the end of Leela's fight in The War Doctor: Casualties of War. We saw the end of the General's fight in The Day of the Doctor. The War Room is the heart of Gallifrey's manoeuvres and finally we are going to understand how all that strategy will play out.”

@@themonado5030 the beauty of the time war is that, by its nature, anything and everything that occurs in it is canon because.......it has happened, until it stopped happening, or maybe it happened yesterday, tomorrow....etc etc
well you cant really pinpoint the whole time war in a series, the budget alone imagine! the audios capture that despite no visuals, and they are still on going!

Jesus! This is just stunning! Everything from the CG work to the vfx compositing to the music. Definitely one of the top trailers out there for a big finish production!

I thought “Gallifrey” had ended with “Time War - Volume 4”, but I’m so happy to see it return. My favorite Big Finish series and I can’t wait to see this story play out. 4 VOLUMES and the first comes in JULY 😍. Can’t wait to see Leela amidst these war-bent Time Lords and how Carolyn Pickle’s Ollistra will play into the timeline (since she regenerated into Jacqueline Pierce’s Ollistra long before the Time War)

I quit the show after Season 12, but I will never quit Big Finish, they have never failed to deliver great stories with respect to all 60 years of established Lore!!
i was not expecting a sequel to gallifrey: time war so soon........ i am definitely not complaining though

Just amazing!! 3Ddoctorwho’s daleks are back, the shot of the ships coming out of warp is just spectacular. I hope the Dalek Time Strategist makes an appearance again, although that timeline might not work. I can’t wait to listen and find out.
And, lastly. I believe we’ve heard a version of it before, but I’ll say it again: That dalek dubstep piece better be available for purchase on music streaming services at some point. I would pay top dollar to be able to listen to that over and over again in full LOL

Lol I haven’t even started yet (too scared I’ll lose all my money because I’ll get too obsessed with them) but when I’m an adult who has a stable, good-paying job I’ll go back and finally listen to all these amazing audios I’ve missed over the years

Looking good. I just pre-ordered all four box sets. And "For the Love of Stories" is a *much* better tagline than "We Love Stories" IMO, so good job there.

It's stuff like this that annoys me that the actual series so lazaly just keeps getting rid of gallifrey. So much potential and the squander it. Don't worry leela I suspect narvin is still out there somewhere

@@SamuelBlack84 I'm glad you asked. First you don't have to use it often, save it for special occasions. Worked in the classic series it will work now. As to the stories, explore a universe where the timelords influence is beginning to be felt again. How much of the damage of the time war is being reversed? Are other temporal powers revived as well? If so what does their stamp on the universe look like? Consider the Earth, humanity gets time travel technology eventually so how is the handling of it's entry into these massive galactic time powers? Want something on Gallifrey? How about The Doctor having to deal with people thinking of them as a messiah after saving them. Maybe there are some more devoted than others and form extremist groups based on what they believe the Doctor wants causing more harm than good. Have it be set at the time lord academy where the Doctor appears as a guest lecturer as a means of undercover. Have him work with Narvin and Rommana both recovered from wherever they were before.
....So yeah, just something I may have ben thinking about
