Brings a tear to the eyes seeing those old warriors rusting to the ground. They don’t look like they’re to far past restoration

Would love to see all of them back on the road! THEY WERE REAL TRUCKS!

Cut my teeth on a B 47 log truck with a triplex transmission in 1969 and will never forget the first long hill I pulled as a young kid. Many memories of the R 700 trucks of the seventies. The 1952 Wakeshaw powered FWD bed truck I used to drive would look good with these Macks.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 You look at these old trucks & wish you knew the stories behind them. It’s bittersweet how these have turned out. I bet he had more than these old Macks. Do you cover what has happened more recently to them? Sure makes you appreciate the old trucks & the men/women who drove them! Thanks for sharing! Blessings. 🤩😎✌️

A lot of people don’t realize back then when you sleep at night, you have a tent that you would put up underneath your trailer. My grandpa told me about it when he was younger. How are used to drive cross country you always carry extra fuel cans cause you never knew when the next truckstop was you fixed your own truck change your own tires

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 He had many great trucks. If any of those trucks could talk?! I’ve heard many stories like that. My dad started trucking in the 1930s. If a trailer had the bunk hole in it, you slept there. You slept under the trailer at times or leaning onto the big steering wheel. When your truck wouldn’t start in the winter, you lit a fire in a coffee can under the oil pan to warm up the engine so it would crank fast enough. Those truckers were a Special Breed for sure! Many truckers would pull over to help a stranded vehicle, but not all. It was a different time back then. Blessings my friend. Sending you a link to one of my dad’s old trucks. It covers more than that, but watch it through & I think you’ll like it. ruclips.net/video/mSPjp1AoNA8/видео.htmlsi=2FXqrLRsviskb7na 🥰🤩✌️

My Dad ran an LJ wrecker with an integral sleeper for 16 years - all over the east coast , for Akers Motor Lines, picking up wrecks and breakdowns. But the 1950's were a different age, when if you were exhausted, you could find a place and get in the sleeper without constant fear of being robbed or murdered.

@@ervinthompson6598 🇺🇸 The hours of driving were different back then as well. There seems to be more regulations on trucking now than there ever was before. But trucking is still fun. 🤩😎✌️

Need a generous benefactor and start up a "Mack Museum" with all those old classics. Would have liked a look in the cab of the B-421, and you missed the single drive Mack tow truck too. Great video though...

Just south of Newtonburg Road on Highway 42, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. I suspect the trucks won't be there much longer since Uncle Miltie has passed.

Since the owner passed away they very well could be available. If you're a serious buyer and can haul them from Wisconsin, send me contact information and I'll pass it along but no promises.
