I don't mind seeing the mess-ups. Unless you plan every little detail in pencil first, it's going to happen sooner or later to everyone. I know I have my share of mess-ups and sometimes with the fixes it turns out better than I envisioned.
For your totals page - I track DNFs and rereads. DNFs because one of my reading goals this year is to have fun. I have an unfortunate habit of slogging through books I don't actually enjoy (I paid for them after all), it's a waste of time and there are so many books out there that I will enjoy. This year I'm better. Not good, but better.
And I track rereads, because favourite books / series / authors are my go to when I feel stressed. I found over the years that it's a better indicator for my mental health than a daily mood tracker.
I like the idea of a theme repeated through the years (and a galaxy theme is a great choice IMO). I repeat colour schemes (blues and pale purples for winter, yellows / oranges / reds for fall and blues and greens in my travel journals for coastal vacations). What I do every year on my birthday is a "currently" layout, I usually don't do summaries like that any other time of the year except in my travel journals.
Your July theme is lovely and tabbed pages / dutch doors are always fun to look at!

I agree, I have a couple themes I’ve been revisiting each year, and I love to see what I can do to give each one their own uniqueness. It can be challenging but it’s fun!
