At first, I thought I was watching the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, then, I realized that this is the pathetic state of the American circus ever since Ringling Brothers got rid of their elephants, then, I realized that I don't follow the Pope to watch his amateur hour. Now, I say, so what? I didn't like the act, so what? As a cradle Catholic, I can say that the Church has always been an admixture of high & low theatre. It's a rocky ride to nowhere when Catholics try to be more Catholic than the Pope.
