It’s a river called the Swan.It flows under Dublin Castle and Temple Bar and into the Liffey at Wellington Quay.

There is a lovely park on the other side of the castle and that covers over a little lake called Dubh Linn or the black lake. This flows into the swan river under the castle and it’s from this lake that Dublin gets its name.

The first cathedral you walked past is Christchurch a medieval Norman cathedral supposedly where Strongbow is buried, you can see his tomb inside there's also bog bodies inside its pretty cool

I left Ireland the day before you arrived! Spent 3 days on the Dingle Peninsula and 3 days in Dublin! And yes, driving on the opposite side of the road was crazy!!

The taxi driver was right to give u the heads up. There are a number of bar around Temple Bar that put the price of the drinks up 4 times during the night. I'm from Dublin and I won't drink anywhere around there. There are plenty of other places charging normal prices....!
