Here’s a suggestion, go back to the old format, East vs West. Whichever team wins gets home court advantage in the NBA Finals, as well as the following seasons’ In season tournament. Meaning- the in season tournament will be played at a teams’ arena oppose to Vegas. Lastly, I think the All Star game should happen after the season. Therefore, if an injury occurs, a player can deal with that injury during the offseason or worst case scenario, the injury only take up a part of the upcoming season, but not too far into the season.
The home court is a slippery slope because you can have a team on the West have 6 more wins than the winner in the East but the East still get advantage. All star game is an exhibition game that doesn't count towards any season stats. It should've have such an impact that it changes what the Finals could end up looking like

I guarantee you if they switched it up and made it $1 million for each player who wins they will try a lot harder, but they can’t do that because the NBA can’t afford to actually make a profit if they gave them each $1 million for an All-Star game that doesn’t pull in enough money to justify that spend.

It's insane to think the best dunkers are not even in the NBA, McClung, Aaron Gordon and Zack LaVine were about the only RECENT Dunkers in the NBA that gave fans their money's worth. I'm 110% with Stephen on just finding talent outside the NBA at this point, if they're changing the ASG format they might as well change the Dunk Contest as well...Just sayin'. Not doing so will result in yet another underwhelming cringworthy Dunk Contest.
There are no renowned dunkers in the dunk competition, the 3 point competition looks like a regular nba game, and the ASG is just flat out a disrespectful representation of professional basketball.

NBA should go straight to the Finals.
It's effort, 3's, load management and a lack of continuity from the teams. People don't want to go get jerseys because they know those players won't be on the team long. Limit the amount of 3's a team can take. Or make paint points worth 3. We have to fix this thing, people are getting really bored
Money ruins everything. Players want more money, they’ve got to play more games. They’ve got to play more games, players get injured. Players get injured, teams worry about their investment because they are paying them silly money. Players then complain about playing too many games because they get pressure from the front office and want to protect themselves for the next big contract where they will ask for even more money.

If they suspend them for not playing hard for 20 games, then they would change their energy real quick
The players will never say it, but the reason why the All-Star game sucks is because they feel they’re not getting paid enough think about it almost all all stars or in a max contract or super mass contract so for them, the compensation is not nearly enough to give full effort and they won’t say it to the media and everyone, but that’s what they think. $125,000 to win a round robin for each player is nothing when the player is making max money you have guys making $700,000 a game. I guarantee you if they switched it up and made it $1 million for each player who wins they will try a lot harder, but they can’t do that because the NBA can’t afford to actually make a profit if they gave them each $1 million for an All-Star game that doesn’t pull in enough money to justify that spend.
