Gum Arabic is a natural gum which is obtained from the a secretion of resin from Acasia tree. It is been used in paintings, construction, food etc. In this video we shall be making gum arabic solution and preserve it using bio enzyme.
We generally use bio-enzyme as floor cleaners, kitchen cleaner, bathroom cleaner, for washing clothes, vehicle cleaner etc etc etc. U name it and it finds its uses in it😅 Its kind of a wonder solution. Here we are using it to preserve gum.
Its important to add some preservative to this solution else it can easily catch mold.
Bio enzyme recipe ( swipe to see the image)
-3parts of citrus peel (orange/lemon/pineapple etc)
    -1part of jaggery/brown sugar
    -10 parts if water
    -A pinch of yeast (optional)
Add the ingredients in an airtight container and let it ferment for approx 1.5 months (3months if yeast is skipped). The solution generates gas so open the container, stir it and put back the lid every day for a week. Once fermented completely, store the clear liquid in a container n use it to preserve liquid gum:)

U should definitely explore more about it in that case. Its an amazing alternative for all the chemical cleaners that we use. www.amazon.in/dp/B08MV3BB48/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_x-kPFb9977AYX
I personally like this book, u can check it out and learn.

Isn't bio enzyme made from citrus rinds? That's acidic and acids should never be used because it discolors paper.

You are right.. but adding few drops doesn't make much difference and avoids mold formation. You can avoid it of you are using with pH sensitive inks(you can add gum arabic directly in that case). But it works good with earth pigments.
