Blues Rock Guitarist, Singer and Songwriter Joe Bonamassa’s latest #1 Billboard Blues Album Live at the Greek Theatre has been nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the category of Best Traditional Blues Album.
Playing on a warm summer night to a nearly sold-out crowd, Joe Bonamassa’s performance recorded at the Greek Theatre was called “spectacular” by Premier Guitar. Songs from the set ranged from blues standards to deep cuts, including “Born Under A Bad Sign,” “Lonesome Whistle Blues,” “Hummingbird,” “Let The Good Times Roll,” and, of course, the famed blues standard “The Thrill Is Gone” as the evening closer.
Live at the Greek Theatre continues Bonamassa’s tradition of honoring incredible concert venues like the Royal Albert Hall, the Vienna Opera House, Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the Beacon Theater. As with all Bonamassa DVD shoots, the performance at the Greek offered a unique presentation of this historical music.

Not only because you are an excellent musican and an awsome guitarist - you are the man you make me think over the "old" Blues heroes like the "3 Kings" and so many more. With your music you open the door for me to listen to them!
There are some people who say that Joe don´t have the "feeling" of these "old guys" - but they are unique as Joe is. He plays the Blues in his style and its different to the classics and that is good!
And also for THAT he deserves the Grammy more than anyone else!

We just seen Joe at the Murat theater in Indianapolis last Saturday ! We did the meet and greet where Joe signed my truss rod cover for my Less Paul Thanks Joe !!! I wanted to be a guitar nerd and ask him tons of questions but there was no time. The concert was two hours and 15 minutes where Joe showed how to be one of the baddest guitar players on the planet HE WAS INCREDIBLE. He deserves every nomination and award he receives. In the bonus section of the DVD Live At The Greek Theatre Joe's Mom said "you have to see him live " I agree every member of the band is an all star and he is such an incredible player If you get the opportunity GO SEE HIM LIVE !!!!!!

This album is right up there with LIVE BULLET as one of best live blues rock albums ever. Good luck tonight to you and your all star band! I was happy for Buddy last year when he won. But, comparing this recording with last years winner it isn't even close. Thanks for the hours and hours of entertainment. And the winner is.....
