I was never a big fan of Katrina until a couple of years ago because i thought her voice was very screechy and thin but her voice has really developed into something really special, she has learnt how to not overdo it, you cant put these Filipino artists in the same breath as western ARTISTS, these Filipino ARTISTS are streets ahead of anything in the west, the holy trinity are MORISSETTE, KATRINA and JONA VIRAY all from the Philippines 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

Well, other vocal pickers, especially her own people, think she is just a typical, mediocre talent. These kind of folks are so spiteful of her vocals & of what Kat can do. It’s insane really what these folks categorizes as no good. And that’s sad! And here we are, you & I, & a few others, appreciate her vocals tremendously. i will tell you why she is not nearly as popular as she should be. it is because of filipino ideals of stardom. physical appearance and western white skin tone is more important to them than actual talent. katrina is more talented than any of the singers on the largest station in the phillipines abs cbn

The skill set of Katrina is out of this world. And most of her performances are done live, no autotune, just her voice. She can’t penetrate the international market because she’s an Asian-Filipina. She does not look like a super model (like some of the “singers” today) - no pun intended at "quotes” eherm autotune, eherm protools 😅 So the world audience is missing a lot. I am very sure there are least 50 to 100 female singers in the Philippines that can sing like Katrina. Most of them are underrated, undiscovered/unknown, just singing in small bars, joining amateur singing contest, etc. Sad
