Hello +Incog Neato this might help clear things up. The following explanation is taken from Wikipedia: "A written work may be abridged to make it more accessible to a wider audience; for example, to make an adaptation of it as an audio book or a television show, to make a more convenient companion to an already established work, or to create a shorter reference version."
Philip, they made a movie of this book . It's on Netflix ...but it is filled with "woke" culture ... ive heard this book and the movie seems so far away from it ... I was wondering if you've seen it ? I love your work ... some of the best stories, so good in fact, I thought you wrote them in the 40's and 50's ..and thought you were no longer with us ... glad your still here as I'm sure you are too!
@@westonmuse9634 Blade Runner 2049 is the movie version I was referring to ...and, yes, the original Blade Runner was NOT woke, but didn't have the CGI advantage
@@westonmuse9634it is full of mostly gender politics and feminism equality. Anyway, that's how I saw it ...but I was viewing from the perspective of a re-make of the original Blade Runner, not a sequel .. I could be wrong ...but at least I don't think so
@@johnnybgoode7983 i am an avid fan and have read the book multiple times and watched both movies over and over. i don’t think gender politics were in it at all. there were only four female characters that are shown in the movie.
I must have a different version of the book because the audio doesn't go with what I'm reading.....
The audio skips large chunks of my book from time to time...
yep this is an abridged version!
I figured!

I wish the title would suggest it was an abridged version
