The Associates - Breakfast - Riverside

Billed as Billy MacKenzie, it's Billy, Howard Hughes and a string section performing "Breakfast", so I'll guess that it's from early 1985. Does anyone know anything more about this?

Riverside was a slightly up-itself music an' arts magazine prog, on at Monday or Tuesday teatime on BBC2. This clip's from September 1983, when The Best Of You was still on as an album, before the fallout with WB. Billy & HH had just done a Peel session as a duo, then filmed this, & then with Steve Reid did the David Jensen session eventually broadcast on Nov 23 1983. Many thanks for posting. There are various vershs of Breakfast, but this was the first one I heard, & I really enjoy the dry severity of it.
